We went on a Monday night to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Made reservations for 6 pm but probably would have been seated right away without them on a February weeknight. Love the round tables for six that make it easy to talk to everyone in your party. Not what I expected for a brewery decor – looks more light and spacious like a breakfast place. Friendly server that could have been just a tad more attentive. Excellent food. The Cease and Desist burger was to die for.

Stopped in to check this place out and was really impressed. The atmosphere is laid-back and modern, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The service was excellent — the staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming. The food did not disappoint either. The wagyu burger was outstanding, cooked perfectly and packed with flavor. Overall, a fantastic experience and definitely a place I’d come back to.

My wife and I visited on Friday night (12/5) around 8:30 PM, and we left disappointed with the overall experience. When we arrived, the hostess podium was unstaffed and it took several minutes before anyone greeted us, even though no one else was waiting.
We were seated by a window, and the temperature at the table was uncomfortably cold. It felt like the insulation or heating wasn’t keeping up, which made it difficult to relax during dinner.
We ordered the Brewpub Nachos as an appetizer, and they were unfortunately overcooked and extremely salty, to the point where we couldn’t enjoy them.
For our entrées, I ordered the Cease and Desist Burger and my wife had the TR Burger. Both were ordered medium. Her burger was cooked past medium, but it still produced a noticeable amount of blood on the plate—enough that she needed to use her napkin to soak it up. My burger was very salty, and both of us ended up not finishing our meals because of the overall flavor and preparation.
Our server was polite but not very attentive, and the service felt a bit flat throughout the evening.
We had been looking forward to a nice date night, but the food quality, temperature of the dining area, and overall experience fell short. I hope management takes this as constructive feedback, because the place has potential but needs more consistency.

We’ll start with the bad first. We did not make reservations but walked in the person at the front desk told us 20-25 minutes. We eventually got a table an hour and twenty minutes later. Once we got seating everything was great. Food and service on point. A little disappointed, they don’t have their big mozzarella stick that they used to carry but the server told me, they have a rotating menu and sometimes things change.

First time here and was very impressed with the food. The Korean BBQ Chicken n Waffle was incredible! The French Dip was very good as well and the biscuits were simply amazing…can’t wait to come back!

always have a wonderful time at tangled roots. SBarrington is a wonderful location easily accessible via tollway or surface streets.
Happened to be at the location during happy hour. can’t bear the value, 1/2 price apos and drinks.

Just wow! Warm day in February so we could sit outside, but no outside places are open and I was traveling with my puppy. I went in and talked to a wonderful gentleman named Stephen. Despite the patio being closed, he quickly invited me to do takeout to sit on the patio. We placed our order and the bartender brought our food and offered to come back and check on us. The food was exceptionally good nachos with short ribs and loaded tater tots Yum Yum I have been familiar with this brewery for quite some time and this spot at the Arboretum will be my new favorite.

Best food. Absolutely delicious!!! Legit, it’s our new GO TO SPOT. Best servers & bartender’s, bar none. Shout out to GM, Amy Anderson, who goes above and beyond in all things. Shout out to her servers/bartender’s – Eddy H., Wade, Alex, sweetheart hostess Vanessa and the entire awesome team. Best beer, per my husband, his’ dad, and CrossFit Enclave members. We always have a blast when we come to TR. highly recommend, And I’d give it 100 stars if I could.

Great place! This was our 1st time going to Tangled Roots, the atmosphere was relaxing, the staff was very friendly, our server Sarina was awesome! The food & drink did not disappoint, we started with the cheese curds & hummus plate, then had the Cease & Desist burgers, all were delicious! I had the Paloma and my husband had the Expresso Martini, both were very good. We’ll definitely be going back again.
