When you walk in and the seats are still that original looking blue plastic seating it just brings back the Nostalgia lol. The breading on the fried shrimp and chicken must be just out of the fryer fresh and is really good. But not even once every 3 or 4 months is good for you I crave it every now and then what is a very rare occasion to have it. Don’t worry we’ll be back at some point

The owner of this store really needs to pull it together. They don’t take any pride in their location. If their are more than 4 customers in the store dont even bother waiting because they cant handle that many people. I loved the food here but recently the staff has been proven to be incompetent. The only thing I can say positive is they are at least better than the butler location. Please start paying your workers fair wage so they can actually do the required tasks.

If you are following me for whatever reason, you’ll have noticed that I have reviewed several LJS /A&Ws and this has to be the cleanest location I have visited.
The crew working the restaurant were friendly and also gave us realistic wait times for our food, as I had ordered the corn dogs, which are made to order. Kudos to the team for such a positive experience!!!!
One of the nicest franchises I’ve seen so far, but the same dead-eye family mural haunts me.
Forgot to take a pic of the food because we took it to go, but we had a pleasant meal.

The service always sucks at the Rochester Location. It’s been that way my entire life to be honest. LJS is a (shameful) guilty pleasure of mine or I wouldn’t ever come. I don’t even know how they are still in business. One time I brought my two kids and we ate inside, the guys were nice but they gave us a bunch of free food (I’m not complaining) but in actual awe that this happens. I am only writing this because I have time, I’ve been sitting the the drive thru for 25 minutes. There is no car in front of me, one bc at in the parking lot, and I order a single A1 meal with a Pepsi.

I love that this location is original and hasn’t changed. The food is usually good from here, other than sometimes not being very freshly cooked. The staff is not rude, but they are not pleasant either. I am usually not greeted at all when I go here or ever told “Thank you”, which I am ok with but I don’t think that is good business practice. The staff looked stressed out and maybe this place needs more people on a shift. I am unsure. I worked at 2 fast food places when I was younger and was it my favorite job? No…..but I worked with pride and to the best of my ability to make $5 an hour. Maybe that’s a thing of the past, but I hope things turn around one day. Nonetheless, I do enjoy going here and their chicken, fish and fries are just as good as I’ve always remembered.

People of Rochester, I am so so sorry that your tap water tastes like this. LJS owners, you NEED to put in a water filtration system! I could literally taste the tap water through the flavor of the A&W root beer and Dr.Pepper fountain drinks.
The food that we got was fabulous, and the service was even better. There was one worker there, and she helped me out a lot because I haven’t been to this restaurant in many years. I had a big order for four people, and everything was cooked perfectly and served quickly.
But the drinks!!
Also, these tiny little root beer mugs are adorable.

I haven’t been to this store in years… and the chicken was my go to item…I would always get a 3 piece chicken and add another piece of chicken to my order. The chicken that you served me was so tiny.. I couldn’t believe it.
I did ask for some ‘crunchies’ as I pulled up to the window…. remembering that I used to get them. The worker was VERY accommodating and did not hesitate to add them to my order at no cost.

They weren’t busy when we stopped. Enjoy their fish, even though it’s a bit greasy. Waffle fries are good, as are the cole slaw and hush puppies. The 3 people working out front seemed rushed, and I twice had to remind them of missing items before we got to sit down to eat. Overall, the food was good and we only waited probably 5 minutes for it. Ladies who were working were all smiling and cheerful. I was hoping for malt vinegar for my fries, but wasn’t offered any when I asked. Ketchup and tartar sauce were in pump cans with little plastic tubs to put them in.

I have never experienced a more disrespectful & unprofessional staff in my life. We waiting 10 minutes for our food & was missing half the order. When we pulled around & told them what we were missing, Areais W started arguing with us, accusing us of lying & refused to fix the issue & give us the food we paid for. We were missing fries, coleslaw, hush puppies AND an order of cheese curds. I will never spend another penny at any LJS location.
