Mino’s is excellent with the variety of Italian dishes and drink selection was amazing. Truly an amazing extravagant weekend. Excellent service and Steve the owner was very friendly and inviting and made the experience even more special. Thank you to the entire Minos team for a great birthday for my fiancé

Mino’s is an absolute gem and easily my favorite restaurant on the North Shore. From the moment you walk in, the staff makes you feel like family—especially Steve, who goes out of his way every single time to make sure your experience is perfect. That personal touch is rare these days, and it’s a big reason we keep coming back.

The food never disappoints. It’s consistently outstanding, and with the recent menu updates, it somehow keeps getting even better. Every dish is thoughtful, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Whether it’s a longtime favorite or something new from the updated menu, Mino’s delivers every time.

Great food, incredible hospitality, and a welcoming atmosphere—Mino’s sets the standard. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place that gets it right, visit after visit

Food is amazing. Fresh, very unique taste. Wonderful presentation. Goes perfect with seeing the Home Alone House! Ozzy is a great server! We lucked out driving across country to wind up here.

Everything was very salty. Tiramisu was mediocre. Not really good or bad. Interesting never had a Tiramisu with barely any coffee taste and very little cake/finger. Extremely noisy , especially when we were sat by a booth near the kitchen. Service was exceptional although food was overrated.

I had the rigatoni and it was cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the octopus as an appetizer. We had a group of 6 adults and 6 kids. Julia was an outstanding waitress. Food came out pretty fast too at 5:45 pm on a Saturday. Will definitely be back. Even the fire pit out front was such a nice touch during these Chicago fall evenings.

The place is nice. Tables are a bit small, but it’s cozy. We didn’t have any issues with the service. The food, however, was sub-par. The cacio e pepe was watery and tasted horrible. Check the posted pictures. The noodles were slippery and were broken into little pieces . Cacio E pepe is supposed to a white creamy sauce. I expected better pasta from an Italian restaurant. Won’t be returning. Definitely not worth it.

All I can say is WOW. Mino’s does not feel like a suburban restaurant. The quality of the food is absolutely through the roof. Everything from the apps, to the main course, to the desserts are pricey but absolutely delicious. If you’re lucky enough to sit on the patio with the sun shining, you might just have the best restaurant experience of the year. They have a bisteca on the menu which is absolutely immaculate. And I’ve had hundreds of steaks around the country. It has to be one of the top 3 steaks I’ve ever had. Perfectly aged, perfectly cooked, perfect texture, perfect aftertaste. Top notch all around. My only criticism is that the indoor dining area is lackluster. I’m not sure why they don’t dress up the decor and the lighting a bit. Otherwise, this is a wonderful night out that shouldn’t be missed!

The food was excellent and the service itself was very good. However, we came not just to eat quickly, but to enjoy an evening catching up with friends we hadn’t seen in a long time.
Unfortunately, we felt hurried throughout the meal.
At one point, the heat was turned off in the back room where we were seated, which made the space noticeably uncomfortable and gave us the impression that we were being encouraged to leave. That was disappointing, as dining out is about more than just the food — it’s about the experience and connection.

We truly enjoyed the cuisine, but we hope in the future guests can be allowed to enjoy their time without feeling rushed.

Mino’s truly went above and beyond in a way you just don’t see anymore. We ordered through ToastTab which contracts with Uber Eats and had an issue where the driver never showed up, leaving our order delayed by nearly two hours—even though the food was already prepared and ready.

Instead of shrugging it off or letting the situation ruin our night, one of the owners personally drove our order to our home in Glenview to make sure we were taken care of. That level of service is rare and incredibly appreciated.

On top of that, the food was absolutely fantastic—fresh, delicious, and worth every bite. Exceptional food paired with exceptional people is what keeps customers coming back, and Mino’s nailed both.

We cannot wait to order again—or better yet, dine in soon. Highly recommend! ❤️
