No one working there is capable of putting salad dressings with a salad. Every single time I’ve tried to get a salad from here and ask for extra dressing I get either one tiny cup of dressing half full or zero dressings. Now I have a huge salad with NO DRESSING. How hard is your job?! This place is the worst.

Went here for spirit night around 7pm. There wasn’t really a big line, food came out within 10 minutes. I ordered the McAlister’s club wrap which the flavor was good however the wrap itself had a lot of hard pieces that I couldn’t chew. Everything inside the wrap was really good. I loved the broccoli cheddar soup I dipped my wrap in that! My son got the kids pizza which was cooked perfectly and he ate the whole thing. My daughter got the kids turkey toaster which they cooked the toast on the darker side, so she wasted most of it. They accidentally charged me for an extra drink at the register. They did refund that for me. Place is very clean cool environment. We sat outside on the patio which we really enjoyed. Everyone we encountered was very friendly. We ordered the carrot cake as a dessert and none of us cared for it so two bites and the rest was wasted. I had higher expectations because everyone was raving about it. It’s okay. For the price point and quality we received I have to say only 3 stars. The best thing was the broccoli cheddar soup and they had a really nice strong iced tea!

There’s a good new Deli in town! A varied menu of Salads, Sandwiches, Soups, Beverages and Desserts takes one back to nostalgic days of your local neighborhood delicatessen! I ordered the classic Reuben…with corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss on marbled rye. At least, that’s what the menu said. Instead I got what looked like wheat bread. I would have preferred a good Jewish rye! Their Colossal Carrot Cake was tasty as was the. Famous Tea and tangy Lemonade. One had to order at the counter and the server brought the food in quick order. They advertise “no tips” but a tip question was part of the transaction. I left a tip because I thought the cashier was very helpful. A Rewards Club membership gets you a Free Tea with your next purchase. Ample parking with wheelchair accessibility is available as is an outdoor eating area.. Kids menu is offered. However, their store is not a gluten-free environment even though
GF bread is available for those who are Gluten Sensitive. In conclusion, don’t forget to bring your appetite!

UPDATE! We have been here several times since it opened. At first it was absolutely amazing. After a few months it started to go down hill. Not the food but the service. It seems like nobody working there had a personality. They stopped coming by the table to offer refills or just to say hi. That was what we liked about it. Today we really were craving a sound so we went again. Christine was at the counter and was super friendly. She told us she was new and asked us if we could be patient. Of course! It was so nice to have an employee speak again. She even came around to see if we wanted regular. I sure wish they would hire 10 of her.Just a little crowded since it’s newly opened and it IS season but man it was worth the wait. Friendly staff and amazing fresh food. Definitely added to our go to list!
I’m only redoing this because every time we have gone the service has gone downhill. This time every front employee were sitting in a booth chatting. I think maybe 5 of them

I absolutely love McAlister’s & I had contacted Corporate every year from 2017 to please open a deli in our area, for several years. The only complaint I have is your Dr Pepper & Diet Dr Pepper tastes nothing like it should & sometimes even has a chemical taste to it. Folks your mixture is off entirely, but it was fine when you first opened. If you don’t make an adjustment we will stop buying drinks. You probably have a problem with the other flavors as well. You need to make sure they taste like they are supposed to. My husband & I come weekly & sometimes twice a week after church. Thanks

We went to McAlister’s at 19570 Cochran Blvd, Port Charlotte, for the first time this Friday afternoon. The first thing we noticed was the place was large, bright and clean. We walked through the front door and straight ahead was the ordering counter, with their large menu selection on the wall. We were greeted immediately and the counter staff were VERY helpful and polite. I ordered half Reuben and half Chef’s Salad. My wife ordered the Savannah Salad and my grandson ordered the Garden Turkey. We got our drinks and sat down. It was only a few minutes and we were served. For those who have not gone there, you get a number card when you order and you can sit anywhere and place the number on the placard holder at your table. Much like they do at Culver’s. It works well.
My Reuben had bread that was soggy. I felt that they had prepared it beforehand. The taste was ok, but it was not outstanding. The Chef Salad was good, but there was little texture since they used sliced deli turkey meat and ham and then chopped that. So the texture was much like a chopped salad and not like the Chef Salads I have had before at other places. My wife did say her Savannah Salad was delicious.
It’s a solid choice for eating, but I have to say I was a little disappointed on the flavor. I thought it could be better. The corned beef in the Reuben was not as good as some other places I have had. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll go back again. It may have been that my expectations were too high. At any rate, I have no problem recommending that you check them out. Their menu is substantial and I am sure I will try other items there. I think you will find them a good choice. Check them out.

This deli exceeded my expectations. It was my first time here and I expected to order a sandwich which a side pickle, but man was I in for a surprise! I got half of a Savannah chopped salad and 1/2 of a Cuban sandwich for $10.49. The servings are so large I couldn’t believe it was actually half servings. You also get a huge slice of pickle on the side . Their sweet tea is the right amount of sweet packed with lg slices of lemon. My salad was packed with chicken, greens, cucumbers, cranberries, sliced almonds, and my Cuban sandwich was one of the best I’ve had with the right amount of mustard and packed with pork and juicy ham with pickles. They are very new to Pt Charlotte, so they are crowded and parking is limited, but it’s worth the wait and every penny. My bill in total was $14.00, sales tax and drink included.
Ps.. went back for their summer offerings. Got a black cherry sweet tea and a slice of blueberry cheesecake …Mindblowing!!!!

Not sure about the negative reviews however we had ordered a week ago via a delivery service and the food was awesome.
Today went for lunch and the food and service was excellent. Ordering was easy and the employee was pleasant but still learning. The food was brought to our table in under 10 minutes. The French Dip was one of the best sandwiches I have had in a long time. The person I was with ordered the club and was equally impressed.
Staff came by several times to check on everything including free drink refills even taking used napkins away. It got pretty busy as the lunch hour progressed but there are plenty of seats inside and out.
Definitely going back.

Food is delicious here. This was our second time here trying different items on the menu. The sandwiches are delicious and salad was fresh.
The sweet tea lemonade with the puree flavor is such a refreshing drink.
Service is exceptional and they definitely know what they are doing. Food came out within a proper amount of time a lot quicker than I would think after ordering.
