It was an Enchanting atmosphere. The disarming nature of this historic location inspires an elegant setting unbeknownst to those who have not encountered this spartan opulence before. Believe me I was taken aback to a former life where history meets a delicious twist in the Covington scene, now entering into the modern age of gastronomy, by taking a step back and feeding your ego, as well as your appetite. Please go and explore this establishment so now enmeshed within its culture, as I would not even attempt to spoil your experience at Lola. I can promise you, I will see you again.

Nice restaurant with a unique menu. You go to the counter to place your order and get your drink. I ordered the Cuban sandwich with truffle fries. The sandwich was large and delicious. They had ooey gooey butter cake slices and chocolate and vanilla chip cookie that was massive and looked awesome.

All around phenomenal. Demonstrates the upper echelon of a culinary experience without feeling overtly pretentious or expensive. The food portions are slightly larger than reasonable which is appreciated as it was filling plus two bites . Price wise it’s a little higher than typical for lunch but not egregious, and absolutely worth every cent. I ordered a special which I can highly recommend if it does resurface but I am looking forward to trying their hamburger.

Atmosphere wise, loved everything about it. The caboose is cool but a bit far from the counter and bathroom, but very accessible to utensils and all. Three options for seating and all are excellent vibes with lo-fi hip hop on the speakers. Definitely a draw for all ages and I feel like the menu is short, yet versatile and can satisfy almost anyone.
Only regret was not getting coffee and a pastry.

Lola catering provided the food for our wedding in October 2025 but beforehand we attended a big taste testing at Wolf Hill Venue in August. The food at the taste testing wasn’t bad and was alright for wedding food.
Wedding day came and we were blown away! Our guests are still talking about how good the food was at our reception! We had chicken Alfredo, jambalaya, coconut shrimp, boudin balls, pulled pork, twice baked potato casserole, and rolls! Mickey with Lola catering even added some Greek pasta salad that was amazing. I actually looked forward to the pasta salad the most wedding day, but didn’t get to try it. The next day as we were recovering from our wedding and I noticed that Lola catering had packed up an entire box full of pasta salad that made my heart so happy! Mickey was great to work with and Lola catering has some awesome food! We plan to visit the restaurant for our anniversary 🙂 thank you again.

From the moment we walked in it is a old timey but modern look to a quality restaurant. We started with the Poutine and maybe the best gravy I’ve had. Wife had the burger and I had the lasagna. Lasagna perfectly cooked crisp cheese edges that made the whole thing just one perfect bite. Burger has around 10 flavors that you would never expect to go good together and when I say I need to figure out the recipe to make this at home I am serious. We finished the meal with like icebox pie and the pop tart. Whatever the baker did to those desserts even being heated up for service they were absolutely perfect. Amazing texture on the pie, amazing flavor for both and the way the pop tart is crunchy but melts in your mouth is great. For 6 things it wasn’t expensive at all and the servers make sure you are taken care of. Also recommend the focaccia bread.

Menu and specials are delicious and well presented. It was a plus to be able to enjoy a glass of wine as well. The staff are very friendly and efficient. We will definitely return often. My only comment is that if you are not familiar with the process of the three different seating areas, it is a bit confusing. We loved being able to sit in the streetcar – it was bright and cheerful and perfect for “friends doing lunch” .

Visited Lola’s for the first time today and here is the run down-
Located in an Old Railroad Station with Clean and Modern Details (refurbished), well kept dining area, indoor , outdoor and railroad seating, no I am not kidding, you can literally eat in the restaurant’s extended outdoor which is apart of the old downtown Covington Railroad station in air conditioning. You will need to order at the counter/ bar for food and drinks and then your number is given and food is delivered to your table. Lola’s offers wine, beer and a bar at the counter order area. The rail cart seating was way too cool for me not to give them 5 stars and its decorated, clean and the food daily specials are delicious. Great for a first try or a once in a while visit. Not seated for the partying environment. ⭐️

Great service, good atmosphere and a somewhat limited dinner menu. A slice of pie and all other desserts are ten dollars each. The food was very good but not great. The tuna appetizer was delicious but a little too spicy. Our mouths were burning for a while after eating it. Great blood orange martini.
