Firstly, I work in food service in downtown gaslamp so I know a little bit about working late at a restaurant and the way me and my husband were treated here was absolutely unacceptable for $60+ a person. We came in last night around 8:50 , I know it’s about only an hour before the closed but we went right after by husband got off work because we were celebrating our anniversary and unfortunately he had to work. We didn’t eat anything fancy just korean bbq. When we first got there we got seated right away and the people seemed very kind even the Manager or Owner was there and greeted us , we ordered the Prime menu for $45.99 a person, Two strawberry sojus and our sides. After 10 min the raw meat came out and we were cooking it and it takes forever to cook, the whole time we finished cooking not one person came to ask us if we were okay or to even bring us the damn rice and sides that came with the food, we finally ask for our soju, okay he brings it, I ask for our rice and kimchi brings it but after it’s already 9:20, then we order our second round at that time and if it was an issue we should’ve been told we couldn’t order a second round but nothing was said just a lot of blank stares and questionable servers walking around and looking at us the whole time. At this point the second round comes out and obviously we’re trying to enjoy the food but we know they close soon so being mindful. We only ordered two rounds of meat took 30 min to get our sides or rice because I never got the side of corn cheese that was on the receipt, but nonetheless at 9:30 at this point what seemed like 20 employees and the owner kept looking at us and coming by multiple times just grabbing dishes at first but then a guy with a red sweater literally just started walking around in circles ?? We felt so uncomfortable and had to leave at 9:40 and payed $129 no thank you no nothing. How disgusting if you’re going to close at ten close at ten! If it’s an issue then let people know and we could’ve gone to the place next door that closes later. Unprofessional and Lazy behavior and you guys have 20+ employees and only ope for 5 hours. Like I said I am a manager at a restaurant in downtown and the service is far from anything I’ve ever seen and would never treat my guests like that. Left hungry and judged don’t come here!

Came to this restaurant yesterday, Monday night and it started out great. We were seated pretty quickly and experienced great service from our waiter Josh. The vent above our table did not seem to be working well as the smoke kept wafting into my friend’s face as we cooked, but we did not pay it much mind. About 15 minutes into dinner, we spotted a roach on the ledge of our table. While we were waiting for an employee to come, it walked all over our seating area and into the beef plate we ordered. After seeing the roach, Josh quickly said he would notify a manager to see what they could do. We patiently waited for about 7 minutes or so before another employee came to see what was wrong. We explained the situation and asked how much longer it would be to speak to a manager, to which the employee also quickly responded and said he would get his manager. After another wait, the same waiter came and told us that the manager seemed to be too busy hosting to attend to the situation. We watched him walk around past our table without even addressing us. The waiter then informed us that he spoke to the owner who said all he could offer was a 50% discount on our meal, adding that if it wasn’t “a big roach” there wouldn’t be much they could do. We asked if it would be possible to just move us to a different table since it wasn’t overly busy and they said they would see what they could do. We continued to wait. By that point, our appetite was gone and the least we wanted to do was speak to the manager. We talked to the second waiter for a while about the issue and asked for his advice to which he said that if it were him in that situation, he would just leave. After waiting for another while for the manager, we decided to tell the second waiter that we would leave like he suggested. The lack of urgency on the managers part was incredibly frustrating, and my friend ended up having an allergic reaction to the smoke from the grill. The food was decent and Josh’s customer service was great, but the experience was terrible nonetheless. This morning, we ended up having to go to the ER as my friend’s allergic reaction worsened. I don’t think we will return here again, do not expect the best service if you plan to.

This was my first time ever having korean bbq. They have great prices for AYCE. The food was tasty. I personally liked the chicken dumplings, the kimchi fried rice, and the beef bulgogi.
As far as the service, they are on it. They have a person for everything pretty much. Our server was really good and attentive especially when changing out our grills and checking to see if we want to order more.
I will definitely come and try this again.

Parking: Although it’s a huge lot, there are multiple businesses and it gets really hard to find parking. You might have to park near by some where.

Our first Koren BBQ experience, and our group really enjoyed it! We did have a couple experienced KBBQers with us, so they helped with ordering, figuring out portions, and cooking. No reservations, so we arrived early and put our name down/seated right away on a Thursday around 7 PM.

We opted for the “Prime” option, and they enjoyed brisket, octopus, chicken, and a variety of meats.

For vegetarians, I will say there were not many substantial options to choose from – salad, a soup, rice, macaroni. For that reason, I didn’t enjoy as much as the others, but it was still a nice experience.

Honestly thought this place was going to be an average korean barbecue but I was wrong. I loved the meats and how tender and flavorful they were. Im haply they had good sauce choices and sides. Corn cheese was a little let down since thats usually my favorite side. All the meats were really good and would definitely come back for more.

Came for a late lunch on Saturday afternoon around 2pm. We had to waited 5-10mins for a table. Not too bad.

We chose the premium menu ($31) instead of the prime ($41) considering that the premium menu has what like already. Soft drink at this location is by can not all you can drink. A can of coke is $2, a bit pricey.

The meat quality was good and tasty. The kimchi rice

The service was good. The waitress kept coming by the table to checkup on us.

Why the 4 star instead of 5? A few of the side dishes we want were out.

The food is not bad. Reasonable for the price. Service is good. They do hustle: they come to clean your table, ask if you want anything, etc. The wait on a Saturday at 4 was not long.

Amazing food, service, and good vibes. My friends and I love coming here to eat and celebrate our birthdays. Servers are always on point with bringing refills. Music is also amazing. Food is incredible. I’m addicted to the sesame balls, too. It’s a must try!! FYI, parking can suck especially on the weekend. It’s a big parking share by various restaurants.
