I went to Plates in New Orleans and found it absolutely lovely. I sat on the bar side, which was much quieter that night. The table side was noticeably louder, so I was glad to have the quieter option.

Service was great. The bar staff were really on form.

The food was excellent. I had seared tuna, a whiskey sour, and a chocolate and berry mousse with cocoa nibs. Everything was spot on. The tuna in particular tasted like something you’d get at a Michelin-starred place.

Prices were reasonable, especially for the quality. The space itself is really nice, easy to find, and there’s plenty of room. There’s also some outdoor seating. It was too cold when I visited to try it out, but it looked like a good option in warmer weather.

Very highly recommended. I really, really liked it.

We had reservations for a table of five at Plates, located in the warehouse district, for a Saturday night dinner. The restaurant, a beautifully renovated cotton mill, offers a cool, contemporary, and upscale ambiance. The service we received was prompt, informative, and friendly. Our meal consisted of a variety of tapas and small plates, which we shared amongst ourselves and which received high praise from everyone at the table. The prices were quite reasonable, and the overall experience was outstanding.

Amazing! The restaurant is really cozy. The staff was attentive and the food delicious, especially the baked goat cheese & wild mushroom. Both were incredible.

Worth a visit for great food and a charming atmosphere.

WOW! As a local, I don’t know how I haven’t been to Plates sooner. Sat at the bar but will be back for a full experience, SOON.
The entire experience was nothing short of incredible. Some restaurants are great for appetizers, mains, beverages or desserts – Chef & team knock it out of the park for every aspect of their offerings. Hosts, servers & bar staff are outstanding – and you can tell they love their jobs.
Squash salad was fantastic – and I’m not one to usually reach for kale or arugula – healthy food has NO BUSINESS BEING THIS DELICIOUS, CHEF. The mushroom toast was savory & perfectly balanced with the egg. THE LAMB. I am still thinking about it a day later. And the crème brûlée with the beverage pairing. Again, nothing bad to say.
Go to Plates, you’ll be happy at the bar (ask for Ruby or Zach!!) or at table service.

We had the absolute best time and best food.
We tried different dishes as per the bartender’s advice and my goodness – probably one of the best restaurants we’ve been to in the US.
We recommend the mushroom sourdough – puff puffs – shrimps with black garlic – tuna crudo – chocolate mousse & cheesecake.

Absolutely wonderful meal. We had the shrimp starter, butternut squash salad, salad with fresh parmesan and coq a vin. All were very good.

I took my husband to Plates last Saturday after previously dining there early in the year in a girl’s trip. The tasting menu was just as phenomenal! Everything was so delicious that I often think about how excellent the food was. Lee was our server, and he was a delight! He gave us great service and made us feel like we were dining with friends instead of a restaurant. We especially want to commend Lee for making our experience memorable!

Really enjoyed a Sunday afternoon outing to Plates. The menu has a great selection of shareable dishes, which is perfect for couples or larger groups, and the cocktail list is top-notch. The staff were friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. Its near the World War II Museum in the Warehouse District, so if you’re looking to grab a bite before exploring the area or looking for a relaxing evening out, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

We’d (my wife & I) had been holding off trying Plate. Only because we loved the Mill (what it used to be). But our experience here was wonderful. We sat at the bar and Zack took great care of us. We enjoyed the Adult Happy Meals for Happy hour. We also tried the Barca 75. The food and drinks were delicious. Highly recommend the Happy hour.
