This is a very nice little hide away restaurant. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The food was great! We had burgers this time and they were well seasoned and juicy! The waffle fries are always a hit. The place is very clean. No waiting time. Fast service.

We stayed in Blanco for NYE and got to eat here our last night in town. Everything about our dinner was fantastic! The staff was more than welcoming and accommodating! I think the owner (or GM) sat us at our table and was very nice! I had the chicken fired steak- the cut of meat was tender and not overly fatty with great crispyness, the potato was perfectly cooked and not a potato that’s been cooked for hours and just sitting around. My bf’s salmon was cooked perfectly as well and the brussel sprouts were excellent. Lastly, the spinach artichoke dip was devine!!
Definitely check this place out! It is comparable to nice restaurants you see in bigger cities (if not better)!

We’re visiting from Missouri and stopped at The Bistro for dinner. This has been one of our best decisions on the trip!
I ordered the spinach/artichoke dip (best I’ve ever had), and our friends ordered the queso for appetizers. They were wonderful!
For entrees, my best friend ordered the apple salad and her husband got the chicken tenders with waffle fries. I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken and my hubby had the bacon/brie burger and fries. All were exceptionally good!
The wait staff was excellent, the food extraordinary, and the view spectacular. The river running alongside the restaurant adds such an amazing element. We WILL be back!!! 5 STARS!

Walking into this establishment, I didn’t expect much, but was extremely impressed. We were asked if we wanted to sit outside or inside.And I made the mistake of sitting inside. If you have the opportunity, sit outside on a beautiful day the view is the Blanco river. I ordered the turkey sandwich with fries, he ordered the club with soup. The broccoli potato soup was well done and the sandwiches are huge! All fresh ingredients and tasted like homemade bread. We couldn’t help but order the tiramisu which was the cherry on the top of the cake. Bring your appetite for a take home box as we did and enjoy later. Definitely, worthwhile, stopping to enjoy this cute little bistro.

Ordered the rustica shrimp plate to go, what i got was a plain pasta with no flavor kind of like for a kid. Shrimp had good flavor. Would not recommend. Defetnetly not worth the price. Tiramisu was good.

Delicious dinner with excellent service! First time at this restaurant and we will definitely be back. Highly recommend it! We came with a party of 6 and all enjoyed their dinner. Chicken Piccata, Shrimp Rustica, Hamburger, Wedge Salad and the Reuben were all wonderful.

There Burger was cooked to perfection, and juicy!!!! It was so delicious, the atmosphere outside allowed me to enjoy the food. I added the guacamole and it was fresh, chunky, and creamy.
You don’t need bacon! The burger itself is more than enough.
Today my bacon was slim, so ask before you grab the bacon burger.
To be honest the burger was so good I forgot about the bacon.
The fries were golden brown and delicious.
I also had the Caesar salad which I enjoyed quite well. Fresh and a good portion as a side salad.
I also tried the pasta it was also delicious and I didn’t expect much being it was not an Italian restaurant but it was good. Those capers added a delightful taste.
Overall I loved the restaurant and loved the atmosphere!!!!
So come on out. I can see why they score so high.

Omg where do I begin. First of all the food is delicious. The portions are big and the prices are affordable. My sister and I drove from San Antonio to Blanco for an estate sale and we always like to try and support locally owned businesses, glad we found this place. The staff and Manager-who is also the owner are very friendly. We will definitely be taking the 55 minute drive back with my other siblings. Warning…be hungry, as I mentioned portions are big.

Our first visit & wow, so glad we chose this restaurant! The atmosphere was amazing, the food *chefs kiss* (asparagus could use a little more cooking/seasoning BUT still so very good), and the service was excellent!! Every single lady was so kind, so helpful, and made the time there better! I loved that even the manager was so attentive & thoughtful, but our waitress (she’ll know who she is, as she took our picture & I unfortunately didn’t catch her name) but she was so polite, fun, and wonderful! She made our night better & the food being delicious was just the cherry on top! Highly recommend this restaurant, 10/10. We will definitely be back, think we found a nice little date night spot when we’re in the area!! ((Also I wish I had more of their spinach artichoke dip & salsa!! So good!)

Stopped here for breakfast on the return leg of a short getaway. Service was amazing and the food was extremely good. Eggs Benedict were perfectly prepared and serve with a generous side to breakfast potatoes which were crispy with a fluffy interior. Looking forward to coming back to sample lunch and dinner. Highly recommended.
