Exceptional. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. We ordered the mango salad, red curry, and green curry; they were so rich and flavourful. The portions were also quite generous. I can’t find anything to complain about.
We also reserved online— a very easy process. The table was set and waiting for us when we arrived.

My friend and I visited Thai Lanna for the first time. We love to try different Thai spots in Ottawa and this one had a high rating, so we wanted to try it out.
We ordered the Green Mango Salad & the Chicken Skewers for our appetizers. The mango salad was very fresh and delicious. I just wished they gave us more shrimp. The chicken skewers with peanut sauce.
For our main dishes, we ordered the Beef pad see ew and the chicken penang curry. The pad see we was delicious! It had the right amount of seasoning and all the ingredients were cooked well! Loved that they give lots of vegetables too! The chicken Penang curry was very flavourful. Creamy and they give a lot of chicken. The curry was to die for. My friend and I said we could drink the curry by itself and drenched our rice in it!
For dessert, their seasonal Mango sticky rice. Very sweet mango and soft sticky rice. Perfect dessert to end the evening!
Overall it was such a nice visit! Customer service was good. Cute spot located on bank street with around 10-12 person seating. Thai Lanna is a must visit if you’re looking for authentic Thai cuisine. The chef is also from Thailand!

This meal blew me away. I’ve tried several high quality Thai restaurants in Toronto and takeout places in Canada but this stunned me.
Love the simple decor and the feeling of being in a small Asian restaurant. Tom Yum was crack, I don’t think I’ve ever had clear soup (usually it’s reddish) but it was genuinely some of the greatest I’ve ever tasted and Tom Yum is my top 3 favourite foods.
Pad See Ew was delicious–more on the sweet side, but I ate the whole thing even though I was stuffed because I knew I would regret leaving a morsel behind.
Big ups to the chef and to our server. A 10/10 meal. I’ll definitely come back here any time I’m in Ottawa.

I wish they gave cutlery for takeout order haha. Got the Thai ice tea and lychee lime soda, both were very very good – nothing I’ve ever tasted before, very unique flavors compared to the ones in Markham/Toronto. Chicken satay was also really good, peanut sauce had a nice crunch and flavor was up there as well. Also ordered the khoi soi and green curry, flavors were unique as well compared to the other resturants in Markham/Toronto. Shrimp spring rolls is what you would expect. Prices were higher than average and they charge extra for rice.

Delicious mom and pop restaurant. Hands down one of the best pad Thai I’ve ever had. Good price, deliciously seasoned, and big portions with a generous amount of protein. I also love that they don’t use plastic take out containers like most other Thai places in this city. Will be back!

I never make reviews but this has to be an exception because of how good the food it. As a Thai person myself, the food here is one of the best you can get in Ottawa. The food is not only vibrant and beautiful, the flavours make you feel as if you’ve entered another dimension! Khao Soi is so good and I would 100% recommend. The flavours are immaculate. When I come here, it really reminds me of home. All the employees speak Thai and they are so friendly and kind! Best restaurant ever!

Yummy food, tastes freshly prepared and came out relatively quickly! I got the ginger pork and the mango sticky rice.
Great service, the one person we saw running around the restaurant had a super kind vibe.
Small cozy space. We arrived around 5 pm on a Sunday and were the first, and the space started filling up after.

If you’re looking for some really good quality Thai food then this is the place. But if you’re looking for a place that has good, authentic and aesthetic interior decor, then this is certainly not the place. Having said that, the place is small and cozy, and makes for a good time enjoying really good Thai cuisine. The servers are extremely friendly and helpful (except for the last time that we were there, when the server seemed perennially on edge). But, most importantly, the wait time between placing your order, and the food being served, is surprisingly short (especially when you’re famished). The portions are usually quite adequate. Being close to where we live, this is the go-to place for both my wife and I, whenever we’re looking for a quick and sumptuous meal in a cozy setting.
Recommended.

I really enjoyed my meal, we shared tom kha, chicken skewers, shrimp spring rolls, khoi soi and green curry. Each dish had very nice flavor, rich and deep flavors. I was really happy to find Khoi soi because this isn’t really common, but it packs so many flavors. This is among the best thai I had in Ottawa so far!
The dining area has probably about 24 seats.
