Visited just after Christmas, they know how to decorate for the season! We’ll done Blue Dog Saloon! Arrived at opening on a Saturday night and there were four cars of folks waiting … 30 mins in the place was hopping. Diana was a lovely server, always on her game. Food was tasty and the beer was ice cold. Loved our visit. Will be coming back even though they’re out of the way. Cheers!

The Blue Dog Saloon is always a special treat! I absolutely love their crab cake salad and their orange crushes…hands down the best thing ever. One of my favorite spots in Southern Maryland for a laid-back, delicious meal. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the drinks are always on point. I’ve heard their pizza is amazing too, but I haven’t had the chance to try it yet (on my list for next time!). If you’re in the Port Tobacco area, this spot is a must-visit.

Always a delicious and delightful dining experience at The Blue Dog! Locally owned and operated. They have a solid regular menu and a delicious rotation of specials that keep things interesting new. Seasonal creme brulees are always to die for. They do have outdoor seating when the weather is nice. No wait on weeknights but you definitely need a reservation on weekends! The menu appears a little pricey at first glance, but once you get your food you realize nothing is overpriced. Love this place!

Decided to go out for a family meal here for the first time and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was just right and very family friendly. Our service was terrific and very accommodating. The food was excellent, ive been craving a prime rib steak and they nailed it. Will definitely be coming back soon.

This is a great local spot. Every time I come here the food is great. They can get super busy and have a wait some times. I had the soft shell crab fries.They were cooked and seasoned perfectly. I wanted to try a well made bison burger for a while and found it here. It was good with just a little gamey taste. The prime rib was large and delicious. The baked potato and fires were hard, and not much flavor. Like they sat under a heat lamp for a while. The dessert the almond cake was so good. It was perfect compliant to ending of the meal. I would give them 9 out of 10 stars.

Great food, great service in a nice casual setting. The menu is very good and decent beer and wine selection too. There’s a bar area along with a separate dining area, and outdoor seating when the weather is good. We come here often and really enjoy it- food is great. One of the best dining options in this part of the county.

Crab stuffed Rockfish was terrible. We got the prime rib for my husband which was awesome. I got the crab stuffed rockfish. My rockfish tasted freezer burnt and just was not edible. There was a tiny bit of tasteless crab cake on top. My hubby split his prime rib in 2 for us both- it was a generous portion and was very good. Becky the bartender was great. She had the terrible fish removed from our bill, which was very nice. It’s a shame since this was our 36th anniversary dinner, and it wasn’t really a great experience. A big disappointment at the Blue Dog.

My first time here. I have driven by many times but never stopped in. I was here for an event and was surprised on how comfortable and relaxed the environment is, very nice. The service was fantastic! Then came the food. I had one of the best Prime Rib dinners I have had in many years. Everyone’s food was fabulous.
