Came in from out of town and had one of the best dining experiences of my life. As soon as I walked in the atmosphere & the staff were so friendly as if i’d be there before. Our Server Lucas was very helpful and treated me like an old friend. We ordered the specials tonight & were blown away by how amazing everything was. I don’t know when I will be back but I certainly will. 1 dinner and i’m a loyal guest for life

Food and service were excellent. I hesitated at truffle cauliflower wings (I’m a meat eater) but they were really fabulous

Speaker above our head was a little louder than necessary

Tiny place, great vibe, service was top notch and very attentive. Relatively limited menu but well executed. Great beer and drinks menu as well

On street parking in the center of Brattleboro

Crowded on a winter Saturday at 5

Bathrooms were sparkling

The 30 minute wait on a Wednesday night was worth it. We had crab cakes, a stuffed scallop special, and schnitzel. Everything was delicious! And of course with some local beers. The atmosphere was lively and staff friendly and attentive. I loved everything we ate and wish we could get it near home.

Hands down the best bar and bartender in the area. Amazing cocktails, atmosphere, and service! Their elevated pub food never disappoints, their specials are great, and their kitchen stays open later than most. There’s often a wait list for a reason – and it’s worth the wait!

Kipling’s Tavern sits right near the town center, with a multi-level parking garage directly behind it, which makes getting there pretty convenient. The space itself is small, so I’d definitely suggest calling ahead to see if they have room. There’s basically no indoor waiting area, and standing by the door or outside in the winter, like we did, got uncomfortable enough that we almost left for another place, even though the wait was only about 20 minutes.
Our server was friendly and tried to stay on top of things, but you could tell she was a bit overwhelmed with how busy it was and the constant flow of people coming through the door. In our group, a couple of the burgers came out very undercooked, with blood pooling on the plate. No one had been asked how they wanted their burger cooked and it wasn’t mentioned when we ordered, so it was an unpleasant surprise even if it wasn’t exactly anyone’s “fault.”
I ordered the spicy Korean fried chicken sandwich, which ended up being just okay. The bottom of the bun was soggy, so it fell apart and was hard to pick up and eat. The kimchi on the sandwich didn’t bring much flavor or heat, so it kind of missed the mark for something that’s supposed to be a bold, spicy option.

This is a very fun spot. I hear it is very busy, so we enjoyed a spot at the bar. All the items on the menu look delicious, lots of good looking drinks, great beer selection, both cans and draught. Everything we ordered was delicious and good portions. We will definitely be back!

Saw this place online and went out of my way to try it. Absolutely worth it, especially after a day of hiking. Really cool place, very knowledgeable and friendly staff that seem to buy into the quality of the place, and the food and drinks were just excellent. Warm pretzel and cheese sauce for app was exactly what I hoped it would be. Partner and I both went for the specials that night (scallops and steak) and were very impressed. Even without the specials their burgers and sandwiches looked awesome.

Must visit!! We stop on our way up from CT to ski. Such a gem.
This is a serious culinary operation. They serve burgers and sandwiches regularly, but every night they have outstanding dinner specials that NEVER disappoint. Recently we had short rib rigatoni and shepherds pie.. the best we’ve ever had !! The staff are so warm and welcoming, and the vibe is always on point. Love this place.

What a cool place. The vibe inside is classics dive bar but you can tell it’s full of locals and regulars. We stopped by on a weekend trip from Boston and LOVED our food. Those beignets (which were a dessert special) still have us talking about them!!! Super solid burger and fries (Ludo burger specifically is what I got). Husband got a pasta special he enjoyed. Staff was super nice and welcoming, I loved the experience all around.

This was an awesome spot. The waiter we had was super sweet, and the food was delicious. It was a long wait for the food but they were very busy, but the staff was attentive and checking in a lot, so they still get 5 stars from me. I highly recommend the braised beef over mashed potatoes!
