If you’re in Anguilla and haven’t been to Tokyo Bay yet, you’re missing out. From the first bite to the last sip, everything was absolutely incredible.

The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and unbelievably juicy, packed with flavor in every bite. The sushi was immaculately prepared, beautifully presented, and tasted as fresh as it gets. You can tell there’s real attention to detail in the kitchen. The orange chicken was perfectly balanced, crispy, flavorful, and genuinely delicious. The rice and shishitos amazing too, just to name a few.

The drinks deserve their own mention. The mocktails were creative and impressive, and the cocktails were just as thoughtfully crafted. It’s rare to find a place that nails both food and beverage so well.

On top of it all, the service was outstanding. Attentive, welcoming, and genuinely warm from start to finish.

Tokyo Bay delivers on every level. Highly recommend.

We had 1 sushi roll and the fish dish. The shrimp ceviche was my favorite dish. Great atmosphere. Services was a little slow, but the staff was very welcoming and friendly.

Tokyo Bay, The Aurora Resort:

Chef Joe Richardson blew me away with his take on classical and modern Japanese cuisine. Tokyo Bay is not your run of the mill sushi roll restaurants. It’s an experience.
Under Chef Joe’s guidance, I was blessed to enjoy the best japanese cuisine I’ve ever had the opportunity to taste. Chef Joe’s personally curated a masterful selection of nigiri, sashimi, and grilled offerings, all in tasting sizes. I didn’t waste a bite, and they were perfect to share with a dinner companion.
To begin, I had a composed sashimi dish of Japanese Sea Bream that was saki scalded, then cold smoked with a special japanese seaweed, served with an aged soy & wasabi gelee finished with a touch of togarashi Pure genius.
Second, I had Grilled Unagi Nigiri (freshwater eel) expertly prepared. Grilled and sauced beautiful, it melted like butter in my mouth. The wasabi was sweet and not too strong to overpower the delicate eel. Amazing.
Third, I had braised porkbelly, grilled on their Robata Grill of which was so tender and succulent. Incredible.
Fourth, I had Uni Nigiri (Sea Urchin) for the very first time, and it was so uniquely flavored. Chilled nicely, creamy, and full of ocean flavor. The quality was surely superior, although I never indulged in Uni before this magical evening. I could just tell the quality was the absolute pinnacle, and that goes for every dish I enjoyed at Tokyo Bay.
I finished my delectable journey with an unusually unique Miso & Blueberry Creme Brulee, topped with a black sesame tuille, a sweet, salty, and savory white miso.
This dish really surprised me. There were so many flavors and textures, and all my senses were enveloped whilst I indulged. The taste was so many things, butterscotch, blueberry, savory & sweet, salty, fruity, crunchy, and just scented delicately.
From start to finish, my visit was magical, and I just can not wait to experience Tokyo Bay and Che Joe’s magnificence again.
Service was extra special. Every staff member with whom I interacted treated me like a movie star. Staying at The Aurora was a one of a kind experience, and dining at Tokyo Bay was the cherry on top of an already extraordinarily luxurious vacation getaway.
Thank you.
Chef Joe, for such a personal experience. You don’t get this everywhere. Only at the Aurora.

We had an amazing experience celebrating my parents’ anniversary! Natalie was our server and she was great. The atmosphere accommodated our party of 7 easily. The food was incredible and I tried just about everything ordered at our table. All the fried rice dishes are great. Wasn’t a huge fan of the otoro roll. The Panna cotta was incredible and I could’ve eaten five of them. The chef (or manager maybe? Sorry I have bad eyes and adhd) came to our table and I ran into him on my way back from the bathroom. He was super personable and wanted to know how our experience was. I really respect that. We had a bit of a slow start—sat at the table for over 30 min before we could even place drink orders despite my asking if we could order a couple appetizers when Natalie first came by to offer us still or sparkling water. We don’t usually do that but we were starved! She came back about 10 minutes later with the water and we all just blurted our entire drink/apps/main course orders in fear of not being able to order for much longer. But she spent the rest of the evening (along with other staff members) being super attentive and was very sweet. It ended up surprisingly being the fastest dining experience we’d had so far on our 2 week trip once the ball got rolling. We’ve (patiently) had to navigate around the “island time” vibe at every restaurant thus far with a special needs adult and young child, who don’t realize we are not intentionally punishing them lol. But this was in my top three my favorite restaurants so far. The atmosphere was very fun, sort of like a romantic clubby vibe (not in a trashy or inappropriate way). Lots of space between tables (and in general) so you can talk about whatever you want and not worry about knocking into the table behind you when you stand up. We had a great time! 9/10 and would certainly come back!

Booked as a table for Valentine’s Day and had the most shocking experience! For a restaurant that is supposed to be of a high reputation, myself and the rest of my party were completely disappointed with our night. We waited 90 minutes for food with no communication from our waiting staff regarding the delay and received no apologies when we finally complained. One dish was brought out 45 minutes before the rest, with no explanation, when we had requested all dishes to be served together. Although the waiting staff were not solely responsible, the lack of sincerity in apologising to us or explaining the situation made the whole situation fall even further under our expectations and is not what you expect when booking a restaurant like this. The servers also started clearing the table before members of the party had finished, when the food had eventually arrived, which made for an uncomfortable situation. Food was mediocre at best which is a shame as the venue was nice and we all had high hopes.

An absolutely exceptional tasty food experience. We were treated to some of the finest sushi I’ve ever had (as a starter), and it was truly remarkable. The cocktails (especially the tamarind sour) were also spectacular, and our main course was incredibly delicious. I must emphasize the incredible Miso Crème Brûlée dessert, which was undeniably the best I’ve ever had in my life. Go try it , it was amazing. This restaurant is truly outstanding, and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Our bill came to around $300 for two people, including a sushi starter, a main course, a selection of cocktails, and the amazing dessert.

Had a shockingly poor experience at Tokyo Bay this evening. As others have mentioned, food was average and service was slow. We made the mistake of ordering the crème brûlée, which arrived charred on the top. The chef must have held the torch for 15 seconds too long, well beyond what is expected for this dish.

I requested the staff take it back (and expected a new one to be made) and instead the chef walked out and aggressively insisted that the dish was perfect. A quote: “you know brûlée literally means burned in French, right? It is supposed to taste exactly like that”.

Shocked to see that a restaurant at a 5* hotel would employ such a hotheaded chef. I will not be returning.

Really cool ambience which highlights the Asian cuisine you will enjoy.

The food was delicious and the waiters/waitresses were attentive and thoughtful.

Just be mindful that when on the island, you and everyone else are on island time – food and drinks will not come out immediately , so take the time to relax!

Note: portions are small for the price, so order an extra plate if you are on the fence if you ordered “enough”.
