This was our first time eating at this particular restaurant and I wish I could give it more stars because the servers were wonderful and the atmosphere was lovely, too! Unfortunately, the food had some serious issues. First off, the salsa given when you sit down is good– just the right amount of spice and chunkiness, and the chips were nice and warm. I ordered the lunch fajitas. The meal was plated beautifully, with the rice in a fancy pyramid shape and generous piles of refried beans, guacamole, and sour cream. Sadly, as pretty as the rice was, it tasted bland as cardboard. The refried beans were quite good. The fajitas, the chicken and pepper/onion mix, came sizzling hot but was also bland as hell. And the tortilla I tried to use to make my fajita fell into a million pieces as soon as I picked the fajita up. What picks this review up is the fact that our server was *amazing*. She was fun and professional and kept our cups and chips filled. She watched our table and brought a box and our check exactly when we needed them. Overall, I really cannot recommend this restaurant, but the service makes me wish I could. I also took pictures of my husband’s steak fajitas and my son’s vegetarian dish, Popeye Enchiladas.

My favorite of all Mexican restaurants in Wilson! The assistant manager was so gracious and kind. He gave me several different sauces to try, all of which were delicious. I stopped by for a take out lunch to eat in my truck and Heavens to Murgatroyd! Wow! It was soooo good, I had to go right back in and order more for my darling wife. The new red sauce for Tacos is among the best I’ve ever tasted. I can’t wait to try the rotisserie chicken next visit. I highly recommend this gem in Wilson.

Everything was great from the moment I walked in the door. Came by myself for lunch and the food was so good, I had to bring my husband back for dinner.
Everyone working there was very polite, all the food had great flavor, fresh corn tortillas, and that red salsa (not the chip salsa) was amazing. The coffee was so good, as well as the Michelada. Will definitely come back before I leave back to Texas.

My oh my, I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality of Porfilios! I got the ceviche, prepared with shrimp, tuna, octopus, mango, avocado, pico de gallo, and lime. Outstanding! What was also relishing was the banana + ice cream + “cajeta” dessert. A must try! Both were large portions (I took half of the ceviche home). Our server was friendly, zero complaints. My friend (who enjoyed his tacos) and are were comfortable the entire time. I look forward to returning and trying more tasty dishes!

The rotisserie chicken was the best I’ve ever had — our server says it marinated for 5 days in two different sauces before being slow cooked for two hours. The flavor was exquisite and contained something I’ve never tasted before and can’t put my finger on. The chicken is meltingly tender and falls off the bone. Porfirio’s is unlike any other Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to — the presentation is like a fine-dining restaurant, the atmosphere is colorful and joyous, and the food was absolutely delicious. My new favorite restaurant in Wilson.

The service was PHENOMENAL and you can tell that the staff really care about the restraunt and their customers! They were super friendly, welcoming and passionate about what they do.
The atmosphere was also great, it was modern, colorful and inviting. It was also SPOTLESS, and cleanliness is very important to me so I was excited to see this!
The food was also phenomenal – everything had so much flavor and the portions were great!
We love supporting family owned businesses, and this is a great one! Definitely worth trying if you’re thinking about it!

This was my family’s first visit here. The staff were friendly and amazing. The manager came around and checked on everyone. He was so down to earth. The food was so delicious. I can say that you get what you pay for. So many menu options. We will be a regular here.

We found this place by accident while driving south. Really excellent food, very attentive service. Music was a bit loud, but an A+ experience. I only wish we lived closer. I had vegetarian fajitas. Great salsa and chips, too.

The staff here is great and has always been friendly. Unfortunately, the ownership has been disappointing. The restaurant is part of WCA’s discount card program, which clearly advertises 15% off any purchases. This discount was honored throughout January on both food and alcohol, but the owner recently changed it in their system to apply only to food and will no longer honor the original agreement tied to the card.
It’s frustrating when a business participates in a discount program but then quietly changes the terms without notice. The inconsistency makes it hard to trust what’s being advertised.
