One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve been to in a long time. Located near the Cypress, Houston area, Raahi is a lovely dining experience overall. We ordered Chicken 65, Chicken Manchurian, chicken noodles, and egg fried rice — every dish was flavourful and comforting, with Indo-Chinese notes that instantly brought back memories of food from back home.

The ambiance is really beautiful – comfortable seating, a calm and inviting space and the customer service from Rahul and Ashrita was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive. A place that feels both familiar and special. Highly recommend.

I had such a wonderful time at Raahi.. The food was absolutely delicious and perfectly prepared, bursting with great flavors. The atmosphere was comfortable, and just right for a relaxed meal. A big thank you to Rahul, who took our order—he was incredibly attentive, helpful, and always smiling, which really made our dining experience special. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. I highly recommend Raahi and can’t wait to return!

Found this place off DoorDash! Me & hubby couldn’t figure out what to eat & this place came to mind. We didn’t know what to expect but as soon as we walked in .. yaaaaaaas! It was beautifully decorated and definitely a vibe . We were the only ones there but then people started to trickle in. The food was even better in person. The music set the tone &the lady who sat us was so nice! The customer service was definitely high-in.
Highly recommend the lamb chops & goat masala. My favorite drink is the passion fruit colada . They do have a buffet option Monday-Friday for $14.99.

Pros: cool atmosphere, spicy food, large varied menu, delicious street food
Cons: the rest of the menu tastes kinda meh

Great place for a date. Ambiance is mostly nice, though I’d enjoy it more with Indian music rather than new American pop music playing. Seats are comfortable. The spice level is great for people who love spicy food. Fairly good place to eat.

We visited Raahi restaurant today and had a good overall experience. The food was flavorful, the ambiance pleasant, and the service friendly. There are just a few small areas that could be improved.

We ordered tandoori chaap and vegetable manchurian for appetizers. Both were tasty and well prepared. The mint mojito, however, had a strong aftertaste, possibly from lime, lemon, or mint that was not very fresh, and the drink was not fizzy at all.

For the main course, we tried paneer tikka masala and soya chaap masala curry along with garlic naan, tawa roti, and lachha paratha. The breads were soft and fresh. The paneer tikka masala had good flavor, though a few whole cardamom pods affected the taste slightly. The soya chaap curry could have been the best dish of the meal if the salt had been balanced better.

Overall, Raahi is a nice place for North Indian food in Houston. With a little more attention to seasoning and freshness in drinks, it could easily become a five-star experience. We would definitely visit again.

December 27, 2025 Update:
Visited as a family following a movie at AMC. Another superb experience; great showing again by Ramandeep and crew. Ordered Mango and Salt Lassis and Chai, followed by Grilled Chicken Platter (Kevab, Boti, Achari, Hariyali, and Tandoori), Tandoori Pomfret, Amritsari Chole, Sarson da Saag and Makki ki Roti, Aloo Kulcha, and Bread Basket (Naan, Garlic Naan, and Tandoori Roti). Service was friendly and excellent, food arrived promptly and was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Meats and fish were very tender and wonderfully marinated. Ramandeep visited out table and diver a while chatting about family, food, and NYE event at the restaurant. Overall the meal for gourmet set us back $124, including a healthy tip. So good to have been back – authentic, hearty Punjabi food cooked with love!

July 11, 2025 Update: Introduced the restaurant to a friend and went with them to assist in ordering for a dinner party at their house. While there decided to pick up a few dishes for dinner. Sadly having to dock stars as the to-go food was not up to snuff, compared to the high price charged. Ordered Sarson da Saag (a favorite, and tasted superb at the previous dine-in below, but was undersalted this time), Dal Bukhara (which turned out to be nothing but Dal Makhani, and was low on salt and flavor), and based on the owner’s recommendation, Chicken Curry, as it was being made afresh (requested spicy, but again turned out to be bland, undersalted and low on flavor – a meh dish overall as it did not have any veggies in it either). The experience was underwhelming this time, sadly, while the cost was high for the quantity and quality on offer. A note to self to not order to-go again; rather dine in-house and hourly be wowed again as the first time! Still a favorite in the area, hope this experience was an aberration!

Do patronize this restaurant. The family-run establishment serves freshly made, tasty Punjabi food. Raman and her family and crew work hard to satisfy and are eager that patrons enjoy the ambience and food. The restaurant is located in the Williwbrook Mall area, to the west of I-45 and in the former 59 Diner/Dimassis building. The interior has been tastefully redone in an aqua-colored theme. Food arrives as it is cooked and is fresh and flavorful. Ordered Gol Gappe (Pani Puri) for starters together with Mango Lassi and Mango Mojito mocktail. Entrees consisted of Paneer Kulcha with Chole (the Kulcha was very tasty though it looked a tad overdone – necessarily so, according to Raman), Murgh Hariyali (which arrived sizzling), Sarson da Saag and Makai ki Roti (a Punjabi classic not commonly on the menu in Indian restaurants and superbly cooked here), Chicken Kolhapuri with Basmati Rice and Garlic Naan. Dessert consisted of hot Carrot Halwa. Service, while warm, could be a bit more organized – we waited a while before we were attended to. However, the tasty food, warmth of the welcome and solicitous attention thereafter, more than made up for it. The entire meal for three set us back $92 (before tax and tips). Entirely worth it and the family owners deserve the local community’s support! We plan to return, of course!

✨ ️✨~ This was the most delicious meal! The Aloo Gobhi was kind of hiding in the menu, but I’m so glad I found it and tried it…the recipe was spot on! I loved the ginger and robust flavor. And I’ve ordered the Onion Kulcha multiple times, and every time, it’s the most delicious cooked onion bread…like a comfort food. Delicious food!
(There’s no photo of the entrée, because it’s all gone!)
