Got the 2 slider box with one medium and one spicy sandwich. Chicken was crispy and spicy! There is no place to sit down in and eat as they only take to go orders.

Food was hot, fair priced, fast, & delicious! I was thoroughly impressed with my to go order today and will definitely be back!!

(I ordered the sauce and slaw on the side so I could try everything on its own but man, it really pulls the entire sandwich together! So so good!)

Couldn’t even place an order. The location relies entirely on self-service kiosks, but none of them were working. No one around to help, and no alternative way to order. I’m not against using kiosks, but if you’re going to make them the only option, they need to actually function.

Additionally, I almost got hit by their delivery car driving aggressively THE WRONG WAY down a one-way street. Where do you find these people?

Hello! This is a detailed breakdown and honest review of Tendeez Hot Chicken in Oshkosh Wisconsin

Ordering Experience:
This location has two options for ordering. You may either order online or on-site using on of the provided tablets. I chose to place my order online. The menu is somewhat limited which I appreciated as it gives the impression that they serve only their specialization which hints at great food. As I did not use the tablets, I cannot speak to those.

Atmosphere:
Upon entering the facility I was quite shocked that there was nobody to be found. I understand that this is a grab-n-go location but I always kind of expect there to at least be a public-facing employee who greets you upon entry. I was not greeted by anybody nor did I even see an employee at all. The pick-up spot, which they cleverly name “The Nesting Box” was easy to use and kept the food warm. I gave Tendeez two stars for atmosphere because I think the branding is great, but the atmosphere of the building it self feels cold and empty. This would not be a factor for people who order delivery.

Food:
For my meal I ordered 2 Sliderz, one mild and one hot, and a side of curly fries. Starting with the curly fries, I think the portion was generous and the flavor was okay, but they were a little underdone for my preference. I do understand, however, that different people have different preferences on doneness. The sweet buns for the sliders were very good, as well as the slaw. Both of those items were spot on. The chicken, however left much to be desired. I was unfortunately disappointed with the chicken. I was very excited to try it as the chicken is their specialty. For my order, the chicken was very overdone. The breading was extremely crunchy with the last couple bites of each tender being nothing but fried breading. The meat was dry and chewy, having to chew it for a while before swallowing. The seasoning is okay, nothing to write home about. If you are wondering which spice level to choose, I would recommend going one lower that normal. If you normally order a “medium” spice level, you would probably want to order mild here. The spice here defaults higher. It is called Tendeez HOT Chicken after all. Don’t expect zero spice. I think the price is fair for what you get.

Overall:
Ultimately, I think there is some vey good potential here, with a little tweaking. The branding is good, the food is overall mediocre, and the atmosphere was uninviting. I think if they could get their chicken frying time down, tweak the spices a little bit, and have a greeter for those that enter the building (even if its a kitchen member), this could grow into being a great contender in the ever-competitive chicken market. As of now, I think there are better options out there.

Side note:
I was reading some of the companies responses to criticism here on Google Reviews. I was extremely turned off by the response given to a gentleman named Brad 5 months ago. He left a 1 star review and Tendeez proceeded to tear his review apart with their fact findings. I have worked customer service for over 12 years and I know all too well that the customer is NOT always right. However, posting that publicly to Google was pretty distasteful. Those are conversations that can be had privately while addressing customer concerns.

The food was divine. I’m a vegan and I came along with my friends and just got a side of mac and cheese which was pretty good. But the food my friends got just looked so so so so good. I couldn’t help myself and for the first time in 27 years I ate meat. And I’m just going to put this out here, It’s okay that the chicken died for this wonderful meal. Now I eat tendeez 3 times a week! Couldn’t recommend more.

The sliders are tasty and the food was freshly made. If you get sauce on the side, check your box before you leave! I got a couple sauces on the side for a to-go order and when I got back, neither were in there 🙁

The chicken was OK but slightly spicy aftertaste. The curly fries were either undercooked or sitting there for a while because they were extremely rubbery. Our food didn’t even come with any napkins. Took almost 20 minutes to get our order. There were some people before us who said they were waiting more than 30 minutes just for a couple of sliders and some sides. Was really thinking the place was going to be a lot better than this but it’s basically self service so that’s why I gave one star for Service. You walk into a self service kiosk, order your food and then wait a really long time just to be disappointed with not so good food. I would have to say Kwik Trip chicken is way better than this. I will say that the food was hot, waiting in its own special nest warmer. I had one large piece of chicken and then a couple small pieces of chicken to kind of make up for one big one which was also disappointing. I was expecting two single pieces of chicken. Instead, I got three small and one large. Was just not worth our time.

Great food! Took a little longer than expected but that’s okay it was well worth it. I don’t like when chicken comes in chewy or overcooked in some spots but this place perfected the craft for the slightly more expensive price!!!! Well worth it for people picky with chicken…. But I am also a spice guy and the yikes tenders were very hot so it was an accomplishment !!! Keep it up

It’s an unmanned kiosk. You order online or at the ipads sitting there, then wait until your order is placed in a little locker. Underwhelming would be the best word to describe the food. Tenders were overcooked, stringy, and tough. I don’t know if they never had authentic Nashville hot chicken and were just guessing, but the spice / heat levels were a joke. The hottest level barely left a tingle. Decent flavor, but little to no heat. The sides were okay. Nothing really dazzled, but it was edible. Unless I just experienced a new place’s “growing pains”, I doubt I’ll be back. I’ll take the drive to Green Bay to Dave’s Hot Chicken if I want authentic and decent heat.
