While dining alone at Indian House Restaurant, I noticed I was the only customer, which added to the somewhat outdated and slightly sad ambiance. Regrettably, the rice and side dish of potatoes were cold, and the goat was just satisfactory. On the other hand, the chicken lentil soup was truly remarkable. The customer service, however, was wonderful, with attentive staff ensuring a pleasant experience. For those considering lunch here, I suggest selecting the buffet option, which offers the same cuisine as the menu at a substantially lower price.

Excellent place. We love the India House Express on Empire Blvd so we had to try the buffet. We went on Memorial Day for lunch so the place was completely empty! My favorite foods were the chicken makhani and the chickpea curry. Also loved being served hot naan and masala tea. The food is delicious with a wide variety of flavors including comfort foods, spicy and mild, sweet and savory. Will definitely go again!

Clean restaurant with plenty of seating. Server was attentive, and food came quickly. The menu had clearly labeled vegan items which I REALLY appreciated. The prices were great for how large the portions were. overall, good experience with deeelicious food that was packed with flavor.

I called just before closing time 9pm. Ordered Chickpea curry and paneer curry . The chef made the paneer curry after I ordered, and it was soo delicious . Excellent customer service for take out when it came to packaging , there were extra cutleries , paper napkins and also extra curry . So close to Hilton and UR Flaum . Recommend this restaurant if you are at the campus .

It’s fine, not awful, not great. I ordered delivery and got chicken makhani, garlic naan and chicken pakora. The makhani was very soupy and was much sweeter than it should be with very little other flavor. The naan served with it was under toasted. The garlic naan was appropriately toasted but had very little, I think dried, garlic, and seemed to be stale as it was very tough. The pakora was decent, but as that’s basically just fried chicken that doesn’t redeem much for me. All in all I wouldn’t say avoid the place, it’s okay if you’re not very particular about Indian or are hungry and need a quick bite. But if you’re looking for a really good Indian, this is not the place.

So tasty and prepared with compassion! Walked in to a friendly face named Richard, who helped me pick a delicious meal , cooked it when promised , and gave some chicken korma for free .
Ordered palak paneer and spinach and paneer samosas. Delicious !
Appetite that’s ready for this !

I’m not familiar with Indian cuisine but thought I’d try it. I was amazed at the variety of food, and lots of options for vegetarians as well. I tried some of the sauces and they were good. The flat bread was a must! I couldn’t tell you what I ate, but it was all good.

Came for the lunch buffet, and all the buffet dishes were slightly cold. Naan was warm but tough. Only redeeming factor was the chai and that I could buy the ingredients at the little store to make my own Dal at home. Would avoid this one.

This place is dated and needs lots of revamp.
If you request delivery , they don’t make the order till you get there. Fair warning.
