Since 1973, Perry’s has been a fan favorite for 50 years! Originally located by the Newport Pier on the Balboa Peninsula, we are a single location, family-owned and operated establishment. Our popularity originated with our Sicilian style pizzas, however, our menu includes sandwiches, salads, soups, and even prime rib! Unadvertised for many years, our winter specials of Prime Rib, Meatball or Chicken Soup, Prime Rib Sliders… have created a following of their own! With our expansion in 2022, came extended weekend hours and the introduction of a new and enticing menu… Breakfast! Served weekends from 9am-noon, we are pleased to offer even more house-made delicacies like Breakfast Sliders, Eggs Benedict, French Toast, Mimosas and more!

I wanted to like this place. The pies come heavy on the cheese and the sauce does its job, but the crust never quite shows up to the party. The toppings are forgettable, and the slices land on the plate a bit soggy, like they lost the will to live somewhere between the oven and the counter.
The Caesar, though, is where things really fall apart. This isn’t a salad so much as a grocery store afterthought—chopped bagged lettuce, underripe tomatoes, maybe three croutons if you’re lucky, and a bottled Caesar dressing that’s seen far too many shelves. Best left untouched.

We enjoy coming for breakfast on the weekends. Food is on point and the service is great. I’m not a hash brown fan but the way they do them here is a game changer. Has a nice crispness to them. The pancakes are the bomb! Tried my niece’s banana pancakes and WOW! I wish I took pictures.

I absolutely LOVE their chicken soup! It’s so hearty, healthy and CLEAN. It’s so healing for me and I order this a lot. Please don’t ever change the recipe. It’s seriously the best chicken soup! The side onions, cilantro and bits of avocado is a game changer. The only thing is that their prices are soooooo expensive 🙁

Staff was very nice. The establishment looked very clean. I was very happy with everything. I got the Sicilian pizza. I asked for one with and one without pepperoni. I ended up with two pepperoni and that is not a complaint. Nothing but positive things to say about this place. 8/10

Sicillian slices are unique here in SoCal. Perry’s does a pretty good job with their Sicillian pizza. I also like their ‘Neapolitan’ pizza, notably the Margarita. I never tried anything besides pizza.

Came here on a recommendation and it was amazing! Pizza was delicious and great size. They were generous with the toppings and it was plenty to eat. We had a meat lovers and buffalo chicken, pepperoni and cheese, and a margherita. Crust was tasty – solid pie!

I commended our waitress and demonstrated generosity towards her. However, she was not friendly and displayed judgmental facial expressions. In addition, she ignored us when I was calling for service. I also requested additional sugar from her, as the initial packet the waitress brought contained only two packets, and when she provided the sugar, she again selfishly only brought two packets, accompanied by a hateful facial expression with an air of superiority and her heavy presence of arrogance. It seemed she regarded herself as superior to us. Furthermore, some individuals prefer their sweet tea to be exceptionally sweet, and since the tea was unsweetened, I had to add sugar to it. In contrast, the other waitresses were much more benevolent and happy to welcome us and bid us farewell with a warm acknowledgement of our presence.
I wish I could have caught the name of our waitress to make it easier to write this review. However, I can provide a date and approximation of timing. I was here on Friday, August 22, 2025 at approximately 4:00 pm and departed at approximately 5:00 pm.
We still left 15 percent tip even though she acted self-entitled as if she deserved more with her unprofessional and lack of customer service skills.
