They have been gracious with our group that meets there regularly. We are often a large gathering taking two or three tables for a couple of hours once a week. The owners are good people and good food. A real Italian deli.

Gian’s Deli is a solid local spot in Stockton. We came in for sandwiches—decent overall, but nothing mind-blowing. The house-made focaccia is a nice touch, but it didn’t stand out the way I expected. I grew up in Brooklyn around Italian American delis, so maybe my bar is just a bit higher. Sandwiches were on the smaller side for the price, and the flavor was good but not particularly memorable.
That said, the vibe is friendly, the location is convenient, and I actually appreciate that it’s cash only. That’s not a downside in my book. I’d definitely come back to try the homemade pasta or switch up the sandwich order—there’s probably more to explore on the menu that might hit better. A decent deli, especially by Stockton standards.

I’m visiting from Texas and was looking for a quick bite—I’m so glad I found this gem! I ordered the #10 on French bread with extra mayo, paired it with regular Lay’s and a Calypso drink, and it totally hit the spot.
If you’re looking for a sandwich that stands out from the rest, I highly recommend this place.
Heads up: They only accept cash! There’s an ATM on-site, but it charges a $3.49 fee for withdrawals.
Hit that follow button for more finds!

Gian’s Deli is a solid place to go for sandwiches. They’re quick and tasty. I’m also a huge fan of their service and “vibe”. The guys behind the counter are friendly and made me feel real comfortable.
The only thing I’m not a fan of is it being cash only and the raviolis I tried.

OMG!!! This place, hands down has the best sandwiches on all of Stockton. Everything is cut right in front of you. The meats look so tasty. My family and I were not disappointed. We were in Stockton 4 weeks due to a family emergency, and ate 4 times at Gian’s place. A must try if you ever go to Stockton….

We get sandwiches from here for lunch every Saturday. They are amazing! My favorite is the #9 and my boyfriend loves the #3. The homemade focaccia just really takes it to the next level!

A piece of Italy in Stockton. Cash only!! But they do have an ATM inside. The sandwiches were soo soo good. I recommend ordering with the handmade focaccia. I like how they have authentic Italian products displayed. It’s been hard finding zero zero flour and this place has it at an affordable price.

Workers are friendly and kind (especially the man I assume is the owner). The vibe and quality is your traditional deli that are hard to find these days. I usually get the sandwich and it’s simple but every ingredient is delicious (especially the foccacia bread which haunts my dreams). Cash only but the prices are fair, especially considering the quality.

Was staying about an hour away in Angel’s Camp and was looking for things to do over the weekend. I looked into Guy Fieri DDD places and decided on Gian’s to make a little trip. Fun old school Italian American Deli. I ordered a full ravioli meal and it was fantastic. Grabbed some Italian sausage to go and cooked them up the following week at home. Hands down some of the best Italian sausage I’ve ever had. Will definitely come again if I’m passing through the area

Helped out my pal Beaver Slapnpacker get the permits he needs for his new store, Slapnpacker’s Slippery Slope, right there on Pacific Avenue not far from Gian’s Delicatessen. He should do a great business with that location, but he tells me it’s not the location that counts, it’s what you’re selling that matters the most. Well, I’m not going to tell you what he’s selling, but I’m sure glad about Gian’s Delicatessen….WOW! What a great place for a sandwichs, they were Amazing! 5 stars ☆☆☆☆☆
