Double Play Cafe is a award winning local gathering spot for Central Connecticut’s sports fans. Located at 320 Main Street in Wallingford (Route 150 Yalesville, CT) we are just a short trip from many major highways. Besides our friendly atmosphere and amazing staff, some of our highlights include tons of brand new big screen TVs, a huge bar, many dining tables and booths, several new dart boards, high tech music system, charging stations for your devices, dance floor, space for local bands and plenty of free parking.

Local pub crowd I would say 40s and under with a good bar menu the appetizers are extensive and all are very good. I had the Philly cheesesteak eggrolls with the horseradish dipping sauce. They were great. I’ve been here before and I will be back.

One of my go 2 places. Chill, hometown bar atmosphere. Staff is amazing and good is just as amazing! Cajun rub wings, sweet potato fries and Cheesburger salad are my favs!
Also, DPC is always down to help out and support for a good cause. They have hosted a couple of our sports fundraisiers!

This is a nice cozy bar and restaurant. The food always comes out hot and tasteful. The servers are friendly and the place is not too loud even when the music box is playing. The only reason why I didn’t give it a five star rating is because I had to wait a long time for my server to take my food order. She was hanging out by the bar with a few of her friends, regulars or relatives. I had to finally walk over to her in order to get her attention.
Even with that experience, I would still recommend this place for a good bite at a reasonable price.

Grabbed sandwich/burgers here a couple times. Kitchen does a great job, really tasty bar style food. Bar staff are great too. Give it a try.

Always a great atmosphere and very friendly staff! Quick service and great food. I usually get the smash tacos and they are great! It does get quite busy on the weekends and during sports events but it doesn’t affect the overall vibe and atmosphere. I would definitely recommend people to come here and enjoy some good food and drinks!

Went fir first time on saint Patrick day.it was a church group birthday get together. Everyone especially the bartender and owner were so nice .FOOD WAS AMAZING BEST IVE HAD .Definitely a hidden gem glad I found them they went out of there way to make everything fantastic

First time trying this bar yesterday. The bartenders were super nice and the food was amazing. I’ll definitely recommend to friends and family. We had the Zucchini fries, pot stickers and Buffalo Wings. Next time l want to try a burger. So glad we have such great food here in Wallingford.

Food was lacking alot of flavor, not sure how how this place has pretty good reviews. I wouldn’t recommend it at all. I wish i went to taco bell instead down the road. Also be cautious walking out the door because I almost got hit by a jeep backing up at the same time into a parking spot, probably should have that spot blocked off.
