Bucci’s. We’ve wanted to go here since it opened. At first we were waiting for the dust to settle. Then we were waiting for the kinks to get worked out. This was *our* thinking, not necessarily their reality.

Along the way I watched as they participated in doing good things for Marion: meals served with dignity to those in need, brunches for special causes. The owner would sometimes post a fun video online.

Today’s video was about a small group of women who drove three hours one way for a special meal together. They arrived, only to find all seats had been sold for that time. Bucci’s found extra seats for them.

Tonight was date night for the husband and I. We went down to Marion, did some shopping, and I drove us to Bucci’s. We arrived at 6:05 on a Friday night and had a great selection of seats (it filled up all at once around 6:20 PM.)

Our server Marissa was attentive and friendly. We order drinks. I ordered the calimari starter and chicken parm. Hubby ordered the “Tour of Italy” (chicken parm, lasagna, and alfredo.)

The food here is made fresh, from scratch, to order. It was out in twenty minutes! To be honest, I’ve had comparably priced food from Olive Garden that tasted like garbage compared to this, and it took longer to get it to table.

The pasta was perfectly al dente, not over. The alfredo sauce will take me a while to replicate. It had a pleasantly, unexpected tang — a splash of dry white wine? The excellent marinara also had that pleasant touch. Someone in the kitchen has a deftness with wine.

My calimari was tender, and included small, sweet peppers, deseeded, and halved, fried in the same light batter. It was a wonder dipped in the provided red sauce.

The linguine alfredo was delightful. My chicken parm had a pounded, perfectly breaded, delightfully crisp, juicy piece of breast meat laid across it. It was fabulous. I snitched a bite of hubby’s lasagna. It is the *best* lasagna I’ve had away from a kitchen table at home.

For my hubby I grabbed a glass of sweet red wine, recommended by the helpful bartender Austin (with GREAT nails!)

Our check was almost $90. We tipped Marissa extra because she did her best even though they’d gotten swamped while we ate.

If you want fresh, authentic northern Italian food, this is absolutely the place to go.

The food was delicious.
The staff was amazing.
The atmosphere perfect. I loved being able to hear the music unlike some places.
I’m getting old, so a little more light, or maybe new glasses , could have helped my vision a little better? ‍♂️
Either way, 2/2 times I’ve loved this place.
Going back anytime I get a chance!

Oh, and the drinks.

Really great old skool restaurant. Food was good, not outstanding. The table bread was not as good as the bread that comes with your meal…that one is the winner!

Absolutely beautiful place, paintings and over-all structure of the building is gorgeous. Had a seat at the bar and was served by Austin. He never let my drink get half empty, my food arrived quick and was everything I wanted and so much more. 11/10 will definitely come again!

Bucci’s is hands down our FAVORITE restaurant! We make sure to come every year when we are in town. We can never choose just one entree so we get multiple and share. Not only is the food some of the best food we’ve ever experienced, the service is out of this world! We thought it would be hard to top Sarah’s service from last year but Brandon blew us away!! He was amazing serving our food and as we were leaving he was walking in from cleaning the snow off his windshield and even did ours while he was out there. You have a great thing going here with your food, cooks, and servers! Already counting down the days until we get to come back next year!!!

Beautiful place to have a 30th Wedding Anniversary dinner! The service by Grazie was Amazing! And the food….Incredible. Best mozzarella triangles I have ever had. I ordered the Chicken Parm and it was Delicious and the serving was HUGE! I could just go and order the noodles. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned, but then I would miss out on the lightly breaded, perfectly prepared, juicy chicken!
My husband ordered the Lasagna and about halfway through we switched. I don’t usually like Lasagna but it was also Delicious. I could taste all the flavors, it wasn’t mushy like most restaurant Lasagna and there was no need to add additional salt and pepper. We brought home enough for him to take for a lunch tomorrow. Let’s not forget about the bread!!! And the Garlic Butter!!! No room for dessert this time, but We will be back. New favorite Italian Restaurant, hands down!!

Very nice local Italian restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and cheery. Service is great. Complimentary bread is very good with a compound butter that comes with it. Chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and broccoli is excellent. Parmesan chicken with alfredo pasta is also good. Highly recommended.

Menu is straight forward. Menu prices blatantly posted in the menu next to the entree. It’s packed so obviously the wait is going to be somewhat lengthy. It’s opening weekend and the wait for two people was only ten minutes. Food is amazing, we were served fresh bread complementary. Staff is very attentive, waitress checked on us as expected, and The chicken alfredo was made with FRESH chicken and meats — which seems to be rare at some other Italian restaurants (some make the night before which makes the chicken harder to chew). Tried their pizza and was pleased. I absolutely LOVE the mozzarella wedges, cheesecake, tiramisu, and basically everything else. Great Caesar salads too!
