Got the Whiting Sandwich $6.99 comes with fries!!! Huge sandwich. Tartar sauce they put on was excellent as was the fish and lettuce and tomato which I asked for. Fries (plenty) were perfect. Even the bun was unique and fresh. Give this place a try! Great hidden gem..Staff was very friendly, awesome cook!

We ordered whole chicken wings, fried okra & coleslaw. The chicken was NOT SEASONED at all. We could barely get the meat off the bones because it was UNDERCOOKED! The fried Okra wasn’t seasoned either, and it had a freezer taste. The coleslaw came in a CONDIMENT sized container for $2.99!!!, when my husband complained they gave him an extra one, which didn’t help because the coleslaw was a little dry, with two specks of carrots in it. We tried to try something new, HUGE mistake, never again!!!

The food was prepared very well. My whole chicken wings & Tenders were both crispy on the outside; yet, maintained its moistness on the inside.

Brand new spot that we all had been anticipating to open. After eating there once it was an absolute NO for me! There was absolutely no seasoning on any of the food that I received. Apparently the cook is not from anywhere where they use seasoning. The only seasonings that was on the food was hot grease. How do you get fried chicken wings and fries wrong? I went back to complain, and the place was closed….. no surprise there!

Fish was under seasoned and not cooked enough and you can tell they’re taking a full filet and cutting it in half the fries were undercooked as well. The Cole slaw was not seasoned either and I a super small container the size of a condiment cup. I had to bring my food home and season it and cook it long before I could eat it. The price I paid the food was NOT worth it at all!! A big disappointment and certainly not Chicago style!!

My mom and I stopped here to give it a try. I like my food a bit on the done sode for crispy, not mushy. The kund cook complied. Very friendly service. Catfish and fries were just right. It was take out. I put cajun spice on it at home. Yum. Liked the coleslaw. Not sweet or overly runny. My 4 star is due to the hushpuppies. Pretty tiny and dry inside. Mr. Cook, get you a good hushpuppy recipe in there and I might revisit this review to give you a five. We will probably be back.

If you are looking for the Chicago experience then this is NOT the place for you!! Food was Discussing! Fish has absolutely no seasoning!!wings were pre-cooked and tasted old!! I don’t know who’s idea it was to put the Chicago name on it. I would just stick to JJ’S because I could at least have some food with flavor
