I’ve been going to Ratcha Noodle since October 2005 — I was 21 years old then, and now I’m 41. That’s 20 years of enjoying one of the best Thai restaurants in Redding!

Right now (October 2025), they’re on vacation until November 10th, and I honestly can’t wait for them to come back because I’ve been craving their food nonstop. This restaurant is family-based, run mostly by sisters, and you can truly feel the love, care, and warmth in everything they do. They’ve known me for so many years that when I walk in, they always check in on me — asking how I’m doing, how my daughter is, and what’s new in my life.

Sometimes when it’s my birthday, or if I’ve had a hard day, or when my daughter’s birthday comes around, they’ll surprise us with something sweet — like candies, a small toy, or mango sticky rice. It’s such a thoughtful touch, and it shows how much they care. They treat their regulars like family, and I truly love them for that.

They always cater to my needs without hesitation. They know I love big salads, so they make me a large bowl with cashews, cucumber, jicama, sweet mango, avocado, spring mix, cabbage, and onion, often mixed with a mild papaya salad (no tomatoes — they remember that!).

My favorite meal is the cassoy beef with extra egg, broccoli, mushrooms, and tendon. Their Pad Thai, curries, and spring rolls are also incredible — especially the spring rolls, which are soft and sticky on the rice part, crunchy and fresh on the veggies, and just melt in your mouth.

I used to order Thai boba tea with light boba and extra cream, and they always made it perfect. These days I eat a bit healthier, and they still prepare everything just how I like it. I usually spend between $12 and $30, depending on how many extras I order — and every penny is worth it.

The people here are truly delightful, genuine, and kind. After 20 years, they feel like family to me. If you’ve never been — go while you can! Their food is made with love, and I hope you have an experience like mine, or even better.

I’m very picky about how well the rice and noodles are cooked, and this place is perfect. I ate here twice while I’m staying here for two days. Duck fried rice and Thai boat noodles were both amazing.

Quick and friendly service. In and out in less than an hour. Great place for lunch and quite enough to do business. The food was out of this world and fresh. I got the beef phó. Highly recommended!!

My visit here for lunch was decent. Not bad but definitely not too good or great. I was greeted by the host/server who was a very nice older lady. I got the Seafood Pad Thai and Racha shrimp fried rice. The pad Thai took a bit longer to come out I winded up finishing the fried rice before receiving the Pad Thai. Both dishes however came out hot, although very simple not too flavorful. The shrimp wasn’t the best quality and had the hard shell still on the tail which I am not a big fan of with fried rice. It’s decent Thai food given the area but compared to all Thai I’ve had they are average at best.I don’t think I will return. Oh I had a green syrup boba drink that was quite tasty.

Wow! This is our new go to spot. I ordered seafood Tom Kha and it has so much delicious seafood and the broth was this coconut creamy deliciousness. Mom ordered the beef pho and I tried the broth. Perfection! The only downside to this place is finding parking and seating during peak hours because they are packed, but that should definitely tell you something about how good the food is. There is a little Asian market next door that I really like as well.

I am visiting a friend in Redding. He said he had pho but did not like it. Who doesn’t like pho? So, I found this place based on recommendations and he absolutely loved the pho. And it is very reasonably priced! Sweet staff, reasonably priced food And tasty food. And, The cook redeemed pho in my friend’s eyes. Oh, and the mango sticky rice had a really nice and ripe mango, which is not always the case.

Used to get takeout from here all the time when I had work in the area during pandemic, even if I was in Anderson. Today first time dining in, splurged on 2 appetizers. Curry puffs and prawn rolls taste really good when hot. Khao soy flavor very nice; they use rice noodles (see pic) and chicken chunks are soft. Got the papaya salad spicy! I don’t typically like sour food, but the salad didn’t taste sour to me. Tasted refreshing and the crunchy green beans and peanuts was really good together. If you like habanero spicy (not sweetened habanero) you’ll like it! If habanero is too spicy for you, mild or no spice is better.

I was definitely in for a surprise. After doing some research on the best Thai restaurants in Redding, I came in with low expectations, but this place exceeded them. The duck curry was a standout — rich, savory, and surprisingly nostalgic. It really hit the spot!

During peak hours, parking can be stressful, but that’s a minor inconvenience compared to the warm and attentive service. The older ladies serving were absolutely delightful, adding a personal touch that made the experience even better

side note:
the photo i took is the khai soy (beef stew) that was an amazing dish as well.
