I’m just trying places that are supposed to have good hot and sour soup. The one here is vegetarian with strong sour flavor. I like the addition of seafood mushrooms to it. The white pepper flavor is strong. It’s pretty good and priced at about $9.50 +tax for a 2 quart container that is not quite full.

Absolutely loved this small, family-owned restaurant! The food was fresh and delicious with large portions — definitely great value for the price. You can really taste the care they put into every dish. Will definitely be coming back!

Classic Chinese American food with great, fast service.
Dumpling – 4/10. It tastes like a frozen dumpling. Not sure.
Spicy chicken – 6/10. Nice crispy chicken with a Mala kick.
Lo mein – 6/10. Solid lo mein. Portion was huge.

I love living in San Francisco. No notes, 10s across the board, delicious. I’ll be back 100 times I hope. The beef and broccoli is gingery, the noodles smoky and crisp, the dumplings hot and flavorful, and omg the crispy honey chicken. Don’t tell anyone though, this is our secret now.

Came here to pick up dinner on a weekday night. The family was craving some HK style Chinese food and while there are many options in the Sunset/Richmond area, none has crispy pan fried noodles on the menu. It is curious to me that a dumpling restaurant would serve that but we decided to give it a shot. The order included sweet and sour pork, xiaolongbao, stir fried string beans, fried rice, and crispy noodles – all well prepared. The restaurant itself is at a corner of a relatively quiet neighborhood block and has limited seating. Good option for take out.

It is a small restaurant, but the food is great! The place was full of people looking for to go food and having dinner at the restaurant too. The rice and meats are to share 2 to 3 persons, it was made at the moment and it was hot and fresh!

Delicious food, off the beaten path, yet worth it. Fresh, high quality chicken
The sesame chicken was unique and delightful. The buns and dumplings were incredible. I devoured them without much of an appetite, literally that good. The staff works hard to keep things flowing.

WenChang is a winner. I was staying a couple blocks away and stumbled upon this nondescript neighborhood eatery, and I’m so glad I did. The food and prices were great. The crispy honey sesame chicken was a treat. I’m not a big fan of sweet dishes, but this plate was loaded with nice pieces of chicken, fried to perfection with the perfect mixture of sweetness and sesame. The soup dumplings are another must-try dish—savory and juicy. The vegetable chow mein was
fresh and not overly cooked. They have two prices for many entrees: cash and credit card. So make sure to bring cash for the best prices.
