I’ve visited this bakery four times because I had heard such wonderful things about it and genuinely wanted to become a regular customer.
Unfortunately, each visit has been disappointing in terms of flavor. The doughnuts and especially the paczkis looked appealing but tasted very bland and lacked richness. I also tried some savory items, made with phyllo dough, and they consistently tasted stale almost as if the dough or butter/oil was past its prime.
I understand that prices have increased everywhere due to inflation, and I don’t mind paying higher prices when the quality matches. But at the current price point, I expected much better flavor and freshness.
The shop has a vintage feel, which can be charming. However, during my most recent visit, I paid closer attention and noticed that the customer-facing area appeared unclean in several spots. Cleanliness is extremely important in a food establishment, and if the front of the store feels neglected, it naturally raises concerns.
I also observed food being handled with bare hands. While that may be common in some settings, as a customer it made me uncomfortable.
I’m sharing this in hopes that the bakery takes it as constructive feedback. I truly wanted to love this place, and I hope to see improvements in the future.

This bakery has the best Paczki’s. So many different flavors to choose from and they were all so yummy!! I would definitely go back for more and to try other pastries!!

I just moved to the area and went to pick up a pizza and noticed the bakery. I walked in and was surprised to see they sell a little of everything. The donuts looked great. They had cookies, pastries, cheesecakes, cakes by the slice, full cakes to take home and you could also buy ice cream. I decided to get a piece of lemon cream cake and a piece of chocolate cake. The lemon cream was very nice and refreshing lemon flavor not over powering or fake tasting. The chocolate cake was also good. Had a chocolate mousse on the inside and a chocolate ganache on top. It was nice and fudge! Nice price. The person that helped me was also very nice and did offer some other suggestions too.

This bakery has some of the best pastries and cakes!! Right when you buy one of their cakes and bring it home and take the first bite, it is just ABSOLUTELY delicious. I highly recommend people to come check this local business out and support them because the quality is up there. I am not usually someone who loves having cakes often. But this bakery makes them where you always want to come back and get another one. The staff here are so friendly and kind that it makes you feel like you’re at home!! I love it!!

Went here today for Packzis day.. got there at 1:12pm stood in line which was down the entire building. When getting inside 2 women behind the counter. Really l? You could had have 2 more stations with 3 additional people helping I would have moved out the stacks of boxes on west side and placed another station left of the door and have 2 registers running There’s absolutely no reason for people to stand in line for 2+ hours…on average 2/3 people walking out every 3 to 6 minutes..got in my car at 3:02pm .. do better next year

This has to be new. For years, I have ordered my daughter’s birthday cake for 2/17 since she was 5. But this year I have to find a new bakery because they will no longer take cake orders for February. Is it under new ownership? End of an era

Super yummy authentic Polish bakery that’s worth going a little out of your way for.
The only bakery in town that has Rye Bread with seeds. They will slice it thick or thin.
it was Fat Tuesday, so time for the Pazcki (pronounced Punch-key).
$28 for a dozen of the fattest, most overfilled, stickiest donuts on Earth.
(2/2024 update: $30 a dozen)
Oddly, my Polish neighbor says there is no Pazcki Day in Poland.
Might just be a Detroit thing, but I’m not complaining.
Recommend.

The new owner is very, very, nice. He’s back in the kitchen making tasty treats for all. They now have a coffee bar with seating for groups to gather. I think he might like it to be a hotspot for young adults. He offers free Wi-Fi.
The pastries are amazing!! He even has Greek items such as spinach cheese pie, and other Greek pastries. He’s also still making amazing wedding cakes, birthday cakes, etc for larger parties. This place has been here for years, and as I can tell, it will be a historical site for Livonia.

I really wanted some delicious paczki and didn’t want to drive to Hamtramck. I found this place online. I meet a wonderful woman waiting in line. She answered my questions about GM Paris Bakery. She was on point. I will never drive to Hamtramck again. They were fresh and delicious . It was worth the wait. One is missing in the picture because I ate it b4 I took the picture. I couldn’t wait. Lol

My nieces 16th bday was ruined by them. The cake looked horrible and their claim was if it was a smaller cake it would of looked better. What they tried to pass off as a cake was ridiculous and would not refund. A local bakery ended doing a replacement cake for my nieces party within an hour and it looked fabulous. First pic is what we asked for, second pic is what Paris bakery made and 3 pic is replacement cake made by another local bakery since Paris wouldn’t do anything to fix the problem.
