We love Oscar’s. There seems to be regulars at the bar (think Cheers!) but the staff are very welcoming to newcomers as well. Food is delicious, fresh and creative, great selection of beers, cozy atmosphere with wood stove and we highly recommend this location.

Let’s start from the end, I’m a sucker!
The place is cozy, the service is good, the food is reasonable.
Why am I a sucker? Because I ordered a portion of potatoes – “patatas bravas”. I knew the pricing was very high, $15! Yet, the portion is not large, roughly speaking, each eighth of a potato cost between 50-70 cents!
I guess you will encounter similar cases in other places.
I foresee a very challenging future for such pubs / restaurants.
People will come mainly to drink beer but will avoid ordering food that is priced too high.
I originally intended to give the place a 3, but considering the general inflation of ratings, it’s fairer to give it a 4.

WOW. Absolutely stellar steak tips, possibly the finest I’ve ever tasted. My wife adored her salmon too. Even on a Monday night, this place was bustling; I can only imagine the energy on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. Booking ahead is wise given the crowd, but it’s worth it for the outstanding beer and cuisine. The ambiance is a perfect blend of dark, cozy, and contemporary. Left feeling robbed and like I couldn’t even cheer for our hometown sports team. Control freak atmosphere. First time experience there and I’m glad to say I wouldn’t bring anyone with sensibility or self respect there.
Spent over $130 on 1/30/26 Friday.
My phone service was in an out all day for whatever reason so I couldn’t call an uber. Figured I catch the bus but that wasn’t even on schedule. The day was so cold I went into Oscar’s.
The first shift bartender was getting ready to leave after I order a couple drinks and some food so I closed my tab out for him. He was awesome.
After a long hour my phone started working properly I went outside to wait for a uber which never showed up….
Came back in after checking out other stores around the area to watch the game. Cause again my phone was being wonky. I even Made a new friend there.
I was ecstatic when that buzzer beater 3 came around for the Celtics until almost shortly after I was asked to leave… I asked if I did something wrong and the bartender said “no I just don’t like you.” Never met that weird skinny man in my life before that day. I laughed said that sounds like a personal problem…. And that ima finish this game and head out. Kept trying to call friends to pick me up at some point and He kept serving me beer.
Right when the game was over he was being a weird power tripping little bartender demanding I leave… I didn’t even pay my tab yet. So I did that… asked for water with no ice or that crappy paper straw… he said no he’s calling the police.. I said go ahead cause I didn’t do anything wrong. And demanded water at that point. He didn’t bring me water until the cops showed up…
Obviously I was pissed off at that point still trying to figure out how to get home. The cops were no help either. My phone service started working better the next day. But Oscar’s has a SHITTY control freak environment. Would never recommend this bar to anyone who enjoys beers and sports. Got a no trespass order and I’m glad they are dumb enough to think I would ever recommend going there after how I was being treated

This is a great little place. They have a wood burning fireplace on one side of the bar, super cozy, and a gas fire on the other. Drinks are moderately priced. Staff was very friendly and welcoming to a newcomer. Stop on over and check them out!

This place in the middle of Dedham square has an awesome beer selection! They have a great selection of local beer including notch, trillium, and the start line to name a few. The poutine appetizer was delicious. The burger and fish and chips dinners were good, but nothing special. The overall atmosphere is nice and welcoming, including seating by the fire place. Prices were in the high side for both beer and food, but I’d come back for a drink and an app for sure.
