McGill’s is a come-as-you-are, fine dining restaurant and saloon at the 320 Guest Ranch between Big Sky and Yellowstone National Park that honors its rich history and celebrates Montana’s pioneer spirit through food, drink, and atmosphere. Open seasonally in the Summer and Winter. We believe in connecting people to this naturally beautiful and historically rich place. We believe in the pioneering spirit, which, for us, means creating dishes and drinks from locally sourced ingredients and preparing them in new and delightful ways. Defying social norms to do something different is what the pioneer spirit is all about. By honoring the nature around us and our history through creative food and drinks, we are keeping that spirit alive.

If the meatloaf is on the menu, and you’re a meatloaf person, GET IT. this will likely be a spiritual experience for you. 🙂
While it’s great to just pop in for a meal, don’t miss the magic of a horseback ride in the summer or a genuinely memorable sleigh ride in the winter. 320 Guest Ranch is a special place, and once you’ve been here, you’ll want to keep coming back.
The food was absolutely delicious. Trout cakes, game appetizer, elk and pork chop did not disappoint. Add the bread pudding as a dinner – you won’t regret it.
On the improvement list – service seemed rather “annoyed “ by our request to not be seated in the kitchen doorway despite more than half the restaurant being empty. Music was playing way too loud through the first part of the dinner taking a bit away from the atmosphere.
In general- go for the food but don’t expect a very cozy atmosphere as some pictures would suggest. Room needs some modifications to become a more “cozy” charming character.
Will I be back? Yes, with family next time to share this amazing place with!
The menu is upscale and the entrees were delicious.
I have lived in Sandpoint Idaho for the last 18 years with my family, originally from Tucson. How close I have been. Granny looks just likr her sister. I have never visited the 320, however I just learned that my mom and dad Eleanor and Bob from Tucson, went there for their honeymoon! I can’t wait to visit the ranch in the coming year….
