Staff very polite and helpful and food is very tasty.
They take time to deliver but hot and fresh food which is worth.
Veg dum biryani: this is normal biryani but taste is very good 5/5
Honey chilli potato: taste is good
Lachha parata : hot and taste is very good
Aloo parata : you might want to add salt but taste is very good…
Only suggestion:
For those who sit near entrance during nights every time anyone opens the door the cold wind blows up and causing food to get cold and minor inconvenience to people who are doing dining .
I don’t have any better suggestions . I know it’s nature but just sharing my experience.
Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Came here for lunch nice clean resturant good friendly service , I’ve never eaten india food but was willing to experiment, to my suprise the food was ok Im not sure what I ate but I did like some of it, some of it was too strong for me (spicey) but otherwise ok. Everyone in my party loved it so I guess its good stuff.

Oh my goodness – this place is fabulous!! The moment you walk in the door you smell amazing aromas. The food was authentic and oh so good! The venue has a great vibe too. We can’t wait to go back and try more yummy dishes. AND they just opened a place in Mac called Spices & Slices… we want to try that too!

Came in with my husband and in-laws. I have never had real Indian food before, so I was nervous. I had only had one “yellow curry” before at a restaurant that had no other Indian dishes, but I liked it, so I asked if they had any dishes with yellow curry. Our waiter recommended the mango chicken curry. I ordered it not spicy, and a bread basket with butter naan, garlic and cheese naan, and blue cheese and garlic naan.
Oh. My. Days. The food was soooo delicious that I couldn’t believe I have spent so much of my life missing out! The chicken was soooo delicious, tender, and juicy, the curry was like an explosion of complex but incredible complementary flavors. It was like my mouth was waking up from a long sleep.
The naan was amazing, and I particularly loved the blue cheese variety. If blue cheese isn’t your jam, there are so many other variety to choose from, but if it is, you’re in for a treat!
The chai was very good, but quite strong and not sweet, so prepare yourself. This is not anything like you get at a coffee shop, this is authentic and delicious.
There was enough that I had leftovers, and you better believe I hoarded them from my husband (who tried a bite and was bowled over) and savored every bite until they were gone.
Do yourself a favor and eat here!

Calm and inviting atmosphere and wonderful servers! They gave great recommendations for pairing entrees. We couldn’t believe this place wasn’t more busy. What a gem! Food was excellent… chicken tender and the sauces so flavorful. We generally get an order of naan per entree which worked out well so we had some to enjoy with our left overs. Will be back next time we are visiting town! Thank you.

Words cannot express of how delicious this place is! When I first heard about it I was excited of an Authentic Indian Restaurant would be coming to McMinnville. I remember going in for the first time almost last year I ordered Goat Biryani with Garlic Naan and instantly I fell in love with the flavors of the food! Coconut curry and Saag along with Aloo Tikki Chatt is some of the more recent things I’ve eaten there and all of it is heavenly and highly pleasurable with every bite. The four times I’ve been there I always get goat meat as my main choice of Protein since I enjoy exotic foods and experimenting with new ingredients.For those who are wondering, Indian food is not all that spicy the workers Will ask of how spicy you want your food it ranges from mild, medium, hot and extra hot if I’m not wrong. Speaking of work, The people who work there are Incredibly friendly and welcoming with great service and professionalism. Although it can be quite pricey It’s definitely worth it because of the quality and flavor of the food. I highly recommend you stop here for a bite when you’re on Third Street! Good Job Taste of India!

When my wife and I travel, we love trying local Indian restaurants, and Taste of India 1 in McMinnville was our pick this trip. We have pretty high expectations when it comes to Indian food, and while nothing here completely blew us away, it definitely satisfied our craving.
We ordered the Veggie Samosa (5/5), Lamb Chop (3/5), Roti (5/5), Chicken Chili Dry (4/5) and two Mango Lassi’s (because my wife tried mine and immediately wanted another). Everything was solid, but the Mango Lassi was the real standout: smooth, refreshing and absolutely delicious. I’ll be thinking about that one for a while!
Overall, a good experience and worth a visit if you’re in the area and craving Indian cuisine.

Really good authentic food. Beware of spice if you have a low tolerance, but really tasty overall. Best Indian I’ve had. They were loudly playing a playlist that sounded like Tiktok songs, some of which were explicit songs, and it kind of messed with the fancy vibe of the restaurant.

I’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants, and love Indian food. This is fine one, worth traveling a bit to get to. It’s in the picturesque McMinnville downtown, and is clean, well-staffed and comfortable. There’s a sense of ease and spaciousness. I had the butter chicken and the lunch portion was large enough to serve two. Happy to have eaten the whole thing! The mango lasse was exceptionally tasty. My impression is that they used really good ingredients. I plan to return with friends, and to become a regular. Highly recommended.

I’ve never been to India, but I imagine this restaurant gives you a great idea of what it’s like. Conveniently located on 3rd Street, I knew it had to be at least somewhat good because the competition on this street is tough.
Most of the Indian places I’ve visited are closer to Portland. This one being so far out, I had to see what this one is all about.
It has many of the signature dishes you’ll find at most places: Tikka Masala (of course), butter chicken, etc. They also have traditional Indian favorites like lamb. But don’t be fooled; this isn’t “americanized” Tikka Masala or toned-down foods for the masses. This is very flavorful, spicy stuff.
Let’s talk about the ingredients. Top-notch for everything. None of this food was reheated from the freezer. Nowhere close. You may laugh, but many Indian restaurants do this. While Naan bread might be a silly thing to point out, I can definitely tell when it’s pre-packaged or mass-produced Naan. This sort of thing matters to me, and the naan here was certainly made here, and it is fresh and awesome. They put “twists” on it with garlic and cheese, and we ordered these variations. They did not disappoint.
As for the ingredients for the main dishes, they are of the highest quality. There’s no doubt they use the freshest and best chicken and lamb, and the sauces are magnificent. If you like “spicy,” they get it just right. Hot with a great kick, but not overpowering the flavor. Every dish we had was full of great taste, hot, and fresh.
As for service, it’s excellent. We arrived when the restaurant was full; however, they gave us an accurate wait time. Once seated, we were treated amazingly, with attentive staff. They had IT issues with the credit card processing (not their fault) but assured us they’d do whatever they could to fix things. In spite of the obvious stress of this situation, everyone was friendly and nice. It seems to be a family-run operation.
The decor and ambiance is something I personally don’t care much about. However, this place is clean, the lighting is nice, and it feels and smells like a place you want to be.
There are plenty of drink options available. Though I rarely order alcohol, they had many options available.
The price was what I would expect for this type of restaurant. Not super cheap, not super expensive. I felt it was a great price for what we got.
Who would like this? It’s a nice enough place to “dress up” and go out for a nice dinner. However, I don’t think anyone here would care if you just walked in with sweatpants looking for some good Indian food. If you want true Indian food and not watered-down fare to appeal to Americans, come here. It’s full of flavor and spices. Beware that when they say “hot” for the spice, they mean it.
Overall, I’m very impressed with this establishment and will return.
