GUYS the prices of pizza’s are getting outta control. on top of that buying a large pepperoni pizza at mountain mikes will now set you back 30 plus dollars. and the pizza you get will weight less than the cardboard pizza box that its in. just make a pizza at home at least then it will be hearty like pizza’s used to be.

This was the first time that my friend and I came here for Happy Hour. The garlic sticks which come in the form is a pizza were delicious. The wings however were too wet with their sauce and not crispy at all.

I have been ordering from this location for years and they have consistently provided quality pizza and quality wings. They have several different styles of wings and sauces. Everything from bone-in classic to boneless breaded.

Pizza pictured is a small Everest. Kind of a combination. Wings are Franks Red Hot Buffalo Wings. They are the boneless breaded style. I usually go for the classic bone-in style hot wings but I also like to try different styles and flavors.

All in all this place rocks…bottom line…nuff said….mic drop…I’m outa here!!

I’m a native Californian, but have lived in Connecticut for the last 20 years, so this review is probably a little biased from living in the “Pizza Capitol of the U.S.” That said, I tried not to make a direct comparison to New Haven pizza. If I had, Mountain Mike’s would have gotten only 2 stars.
For starters, the pizza I got was pretty poor value. I ordered a small pizza with pepperoni, onions, peppers and black olives. It was a pretty small pie (which is what I wanted), but the toppings were sparse and it cost $27 before tax and tip. The quality of the ingredients was pretty good, but not great. Where it really fell down was the crust, sauce and cheese. The crust was totally generic and sort of ‘flabby’. It was neither thin crust nor Sicilian style — just a nebulous bready base. No chew, crispiness or char. The sauce was unnecessarily spicy. A proper sauce should have a little zip, but you should still be able to taste fresh tomato. This stuff was like canned tomato paste with a LOT of crushed red pepper, garlic powder and oregano, and it overpowered even the pepperoni. I didn’t have very high expectations for this place, but it fell short of even the low bar I set.

It’s just really expensive. I didn’t experience anything to justify it. The value just wasn’t there. I’m not trying to be rude, but at that point I would rather go next door and get a Boboli

The restaurant looked and smelled clean. We ordered a medium size pizza and 12 piece wings. The wings were tiny and very expensive. The pizza looked great but was disappointing. Lack of flavor and doughy crust. Sausage tastes like unseasoned ground meat. Pepperoni was mostly salt. Most of the sauce was around the edges. Almost $60 for carry out tiny wings and a medium size pizza.
