so i don’t leave reviews often. i just left Characters & i feel like the service could have been better. we came in to have a late night drinks & enjoy some music. i paid & put music on their AMI Music jukebox system. when my song finally had its turn, they shut off my song within 30 seconds, because the bar was closing in 30 minutes. when i spoke to the bartenders, i told them that i hoped to rectify the situation somehow. the bartenders (one male & one female) decided to be condescending & flippant towards me instead of trying to help me solve my problem. generally made me feel unwelcome & that my request was unwarranted. my main issue was that i felt robbed of my money, whereas the employees would rather just get ride of me. it felt confrontational & rude. my goal is not to penalize these employees. i just hope they understand that it upset me, & i hope they can conduct themselves in a more respectful manner in the future.

TV’s blazing in every corner…drinks from a full bar…and yummy food (served uniquely) all go toward making this a 5☆ “hang-out”… worth the drive to enjoy.
Wait staff is delightful. Prompt, professional and with a great since of humor, your taken care of properly. They are happy and it shows in the quality of service!

A great Dive Bar. Dorothy is the best bartender, always a delightful smile and she makes the tastiest Sunday brunch.

Saturday June 7th at exactly 230pm I sat down at the very open bar with few customers and the woman bartending rudely asked “what you want” in a tone that she already didnt like me. When she handed me my beer she asked “how are you paying” to which i replied “card” it took her 5 seconds to visibly become impatient as i realized i did not have the right payment method and kindly said “one moment so i can transfer” She immediately got an aggressive tone and said “DONT tell me to wait”. I would be completely understanding if there was a line and people waiting for their drinks but she was not busy when i walked up and had no other customers ordering. I frequent many bars and have never had such a horrible experience within 30 seconds of entering and never have i felt the need to leave a bad review but this woman was the textbook definition of rude and disrespectful.

I usually like coming here whenever I come back to the area. But this time when I came in Saturday night the bartender caught me off guard with how angry and rude she was. At first I thought it was aimed at me but when I look over to the other guy next me ordering a drink, his facial expression said it all. Like yikes she is not happy. I get people can have off days but for a bartender, basically rolling your eyes whenever someone orders drinks and not caring is just going to make your night even harder.
