Every time I’ve ordered I’ve had some kind of issue from missing items, food not correctly made or the whole order completely wrong.
I’ve had to request several refunds through doordash to the point where doordash had to investigate.
I love your food but whoever is running your expo station for online & take out orders need to be fired. They’re simply in the wrong job.
Photo attached of my last order with 4 items and I only got one that wasn’t what I ordered.
Sadly I won’t order from this particular location again.
The inside of the bagel was soft, but the outside was hard. For the price, I’d much prefer going to the grocery store in the same plaza to purchase a whole bag of softer bagels.
Update: It’s been a week since filing in the form and no contact made from this location. Just another reason that solo does a one star review.
Food was brutally mediocre. If we pay $1-$2 for cream cheese on a bagel, I expect more than a smear from the Irish Potato Famine.
Again, most Einstein Bros are great like the one at VCU. This one is not. Until the service and quality of food is improved, do not waste your time here.
I came upon it by accident, and was super excited!! Of course I had to eat there. Things have changed quite a bit.
They no longer offer salads, and my favorite schmear of sundried tomato is no longer available. I settled for an Asiago cheese bagel with the garden veggie schmear, and my son had the pizza bagel.
Unfortunately, my bagel was stale, and they barely put any cream cheese on it at all.
Why are things always so much better in memory?
The amount of times I’ve ordered sandwiches with 2 eggs (and I paid for 2 eggs per my receipts) and came home to find only 1 egg on my sandwich is absolutely ludicrous.
I like the flavor of their smears, and I like the sandwiches, but the bagels are getting smaller and thinner, the orders aren’t correct, and while I’m not sure if this was a one-off instance or not, today I took a sip of their orange juice and it was literally just orange-flavored water.
I hope their orange juice was just made wrong this time around, but if they are changing the ratio of juice concentrate to water in order to cut back on costs, there’ll be a lot of disappointment to come.
It’s no wonder my mother keeps telling me to go down the road for breakfast– I’m really at the point of just saying forget Einstein’s.
(there’s one dude that works at this location who’s really nice, he’s been there a while shorter rounder guy. I like him– dunno his name. He’s memorable and nice. Shout out to him.)
Their selection of fresh pastries and bagels is huge—you’ll have a hard time choosing just one. I haven’t tried a plain bagel with cream cheese yet, but it’s on my list for next time. I’ve also had their caramel frappuccino, and it’s amazing—the coffee tastes fresh, the flavor of the beans really comes through, and it’s always beautifully presented.
Highly recommend this location for great food, friendly service, and plenty of tasty options.
