This place hasnt changed in 15 years. No frills and nothing fancy, delicious hawaiin comfort food. Take out style, always has been but worth sitting and eating it hot and fresh. This is a hometown favorite, if you grew up in Hillsboro, you went to Hawaiin grill. Go-to is the teryaki chicken plate or katsu chicken.

The staff was great. We came in around 6pm. There was only 1other customer seated. We ordered our food and it arrived in a acceptable amount of time. The food looked OK. My teriyaki beef tasted like the meat had spoiled. Teriyaki chicken was OK. The rice was OK and the macaroni salad was not good. Overall the experience was not good. I can overlook the sad dining area but the beef not being good is a problem. I wouldn’t recommend this place in its current condition.

A little hole in the wall. I always get the teriyaki chicken. The machine salads if the pasta isn’t over cooked is the best I’ve ever had. The teriyaki chicken is good, above average. There is no atmosphere just a bunch of old booths and tables.

I got the Kalua Pork and I have to say it’s an experience in itself. Just come for this pork. It’s the most delicious Pork I have ever eaten in a restaurant, this taste alone is so shockingly good that I had to write my first review on google for it. It is CRAZY. Also I like the vibe of the restaurant. I like the Aesthetic. The interior design of this place makes me feel like I’m in the user interface of an old computer.

I was actually speechless when I opened the food when I got home. I don’t know if you can tell how small of meat portions are here but the Kalua pig is maybe a 1/4 cup of food. The chicken must have been what was left on the cutting board. The rest is just rice. The Mac salad was probably a couple table spoons worth. And to top it all off the food was actually gross. The Kalua pig was watery, flavorless, and almost inedible. The chicken had a decent flavor but was dry and was just small bits and pieces. The Mac salad was bland and watery with a lot of pepper. I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business and some of these reviews show the lack of culture that some of these folks have been exposed to in their lives. 808 was the place that I usually go to but was walking by here and decided to try it. Will never go here again and I suggest you do the same.

I love spicy foods and they can make their dishes spicy! Can also get double meat for extra $ or a Mini for $5. Always delicious.
Posted the picture of the Mini that I’m trying for the first time.

Horrible food. They mixed all my food, the sauce was spilling everywhere, the container was soaking wet, the food was cold and the chicken tasted horrible.

10 out of 10 would come here over Roxy’s any day. Got the spicy chicken with cabbage and onions. The sauce was amazing and the chicken was really delicious. My husband got the half Julie half pineapple plate. We will definitely be coming here again!
