Popped in for a little afternoon coffee and cookie after dropping by the post office. Both coffee and cookie were very yummy. Beautiful bright space on a cold winter day. Lots of space and natural light. Looking forward to coming back to try some of their breakfast and lunch offerings.

Came to check out The Blue Bird after my workout. Whoa! Protein packed breakfast sandwich! The salmon and avocado sandwich was delicious with a healthy serving of lox, avocado and egg. Will definitely be going back for some more!

Stopped in for lunch, atmosphere is inviting and clean. Ordered the roast beef sandwich, was prepared perfect. The roast beef had good flavor and the pickled cabbage was a nice compliment to the sandwich. Brian, the manager, was expediting the orders and I only waited 7 minutes for my order to be ready. I recommend this place especially if you’re on a time crunch for lunch. Will be back for sure!

I’ve noticed this place for a little while now, but haven’t dropped in. I regret that! The food here is exceptional. I want to make special mention of the chicken salad. I’ve had a lot of chicken salad, and made a lot of chicken salad in my lifetime, but they have some of the best I’ve ever eaten! It’s bright with a subtle lemon profile. Don’t miss out on this place.

I just now finished my breakfast at Bluebird. The salmon and avocado sandwich was delicious, and quite filling. The atmosphere (high ceiling, huge windows, white and chrome walls) is open, welcoming, and comfortable. This restaurant deserves a try. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

Love the vibe in this restaurant and the light-filled space! The food is amazing. We shared the Croissant Sandwich (Thinly sliced smoked ham, crème de brie roasted tomato spread and arugula on a crisp fluffy croissant), a fresh fruit side, and their signature BlueBird house salad – too die for! We’re planning an event next month and are so glad we found them that we decided to have them cater it. A plus – Parking is around the corner, so it’s easy to get to.

Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from but I had the $10 lunch special here and it’s definitely one of the better deals in Wilmington for lunch. I had the chicken pesto panini and it was pretty solid and good serving size too. Pasta salad could have had some more flavor but overall not bad at all. The workers were very attentive and kind.

I was skeptical of the $10 Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich but it was very good. Three strips of thick but crispy bacon and cheddar cheese was high quality. $15 for a sandwich and large coffee (plus tip) is a bit much but at least you are getting something w/ flavor. I wish they had half and half out for the customer to add their own – I really don’t understand that practice.

Love The Bluebird! What a great new addition to the downtown Wilmington area. The staff is always so pleasant and knowledgeable – great suggestions for beverages & sandwiches. The space is beautiful as well – a great place to have a casual meeting or get some work done. Dan Butler doesn’t miss – been a fan of Toscana for years, can’t wait to see the inevitable success of this awesome new spot!
