With a passion for creating happy people and our love of coffee, we opened our first drive-thru espresso stand in Ashland Oregon in 1998. The demand for convenient, quality coffee & espresso grew and soon after opening our original location in Ashland, we expanded to surrounding cities in Southern Oregon. The Human Bean quickly established a reputation for having friendly and experienced baristas and offering the highest quality ingredients.

This place was a great find for a quick breakfast stop. Their jalapeño sausage breakfast sando was outstanding, their coffee is delicious and not overly sweetened, and the staff was so friendly and perky, and they were very fast. I wish I lived close enough to come here more often!

Ahhh!! Where do I begin?! I recently visited this amazing coffee shop and was absolutely blown away by the experience. From the moment I drove up, l was greeted with warm smiles and a welcoming atmosphere. The owner clearly has a passion for what she does, and it shows in every aspect of the shop. The coffee was exceptional, with rich flavors and perfectly smooth espresso. I ordered a Raspberry White Mocha and the espresso was without flaw. Most places burn their shots so I was pleasantly surprised. The employees were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure every customer felt special. It’s evident that there’s a strong sense of teamwork and dedication among the staff. I also LOVE the added espresso bean on the drink! This coffee shop is a true gem, and I can’t wait to return!

I stopped here twice today. Once in the morning on the way to the Polka Dot Agate Mine, and once on the way home on the afternoon. I got an Americano and a cold brew. The coffee is string but not bitter, and delicious. The baristas were very engaging. It will be my go-to coffee place in Madras from now on!

I love this place! Honestly, best coffee option in town! They’re quick, consistent (which is SO important for coffee) and friendly! My daughter loves the kids drinks in their cute kids cups and I’m personally obsessed with the Spicy Sausage Breakfast Sandwich. They also have the best beans which are the only beans I buy when I want to brew coffee at home. Highly recommend the Madras Human Bean!

We ordered two chai latte with one shot of espresso (our favorite) and it was the WORST Chai latte we ever had.
Also one of the cups was broke so we decide just to throw it away.
I spent $10 dollars in nothing.

I use to not like going to Human Bean, but started going there about 2 years ago and I LOVE going now. Their staff is so kind, they don’t make that awkward conversation like Dutch Bros staff does. Their drinks are spot on with flavor to coffee ratio! Their smoothies are delicious! I highly recommend Human Bean in Madras over Starbucks!
