They serve detroit style pizza and it was still pipping hot, fresh from the oven when I picked it up. The crunchy fluffy thick bread paired with the toppings were absolutely amazing The roof of my mouth is still recovering from the molten cheese pull and longanisa!!

Used to drive to Lafayette for their “Local Kitchen” location. Gland to have a full Square Pie guys in Walnut Creek. Great pizza, great support of local artist and charities, and great location. Highly recommend for any fan of pizza, especially Detroit style.

So Facebook was blowing up my phone with these 40% off promos, and like most people were unable to use during their soft opening. Then I got an add for $10 credit if I downloaded their app. I thought I could use that towards ordering a pizza which is also incorrect. (You need enough points earned in the app to pay for the entire item) I thought let me just walk in an order a pizza on Friday since Google said they open at 1130, and it wouldn’t let me order through the app and they didn’t pick up the phone. A sign on the door said they didn’t open til 3pm that day. Skunked again. Sunday rolled around and I was able I place an order through the app using a 20% off coupon which helps cause these small pizzas are on the pricey side. I parked in the Bart garage, walked over grabbed my bag and went back to my car. Before I drove off i told myself I should open the bag and check if I got the right order. Sure enough both items I ordered were wrong. I walked back over, explained the situation (I had to reopen the bag and pull out both now opened boxes of pizza and cheese bread and then show them the receipt that was stacked ro the bag on how they didn’t match up). “OK, we’ll have to remake them.” I then had to wait another 30 minutes for my order. When they handed me the bag and I walked out the door I received a half apology like they’ve been saying it all week. They could of at least let me keep the wrong order since it was already opened. Were the employees going to eat it or just throw it away? Would have been nice to try other menu items and thought the situation could have been handled better. Overall the pizzas were delicious. Not sure I’ll go back until they work out all their kinks which might take a few months. If you do go, and it’s on the weekend, park in the Bart garage. It’s free on weekends and a short walk over.

This is really unfortunate. Like many residents who live in the nearby apartments, I’ve been waiting months for this place to open and was excited they finally did. I was quickly disappointed by the rudeness from some of the staff. I waited for my pizza for almost 40 minutes. When I finally asked about it, the pizza was sitting right there. I asked why she never called my name. She said she did, to which I responded that I was sitting right there next to the front door and never once heard my name. This is the kicker… she then turned to one of her co-workers and started to talk shit about me with me stand RIGHT THERE. I’m still deciding if I should eat this damn pizza because I had to wait so long and I’m hungry, or if I should just bring it back and demand a refund. Either way, I doubt I’ll be going back. Not if that girl is still working there.
