Best lunch and burger I’ve had in a while! We ordered the bison burger, brisket plate, and fried mushrooms. 10/10! The bison burger was so favorable and the brisket very tender! The corn on the cob that came with it was also amazing! I’ll be stopping here during my next visit to J tree. Also worth noting the server was very friendly and there were high chairs available!

If you were looking for a dining opportunity in Morongo Valley with good food, give Dillon’s a try. This is a local’s favorite. It may not look like much from the outside, but you can count on getting exceptional ribs, and good Buffalo wings. It is also a bar so I can get noisy and sometimes rowdy. I have family and friends that make this a destination for ribs. The Coyote Cone ice cream shop is right next-door. It’s easy access from Highway 62. It’s better to drive down a block or two to find the light to get back on the highway going northbound. The service is fast and the chefs take pride and what they do.

We really enjoy stopping here for burgers and onion petals after coming back from PS. The service is great, everyone is very friendly. The cook brings our yummy burgers direct to the table. Sit anywhere, play pinball or sit at the bar, watch TV. It’s a bit dark inside but cozy like a little tavern is expected to be.

UPDATE: 10/2/19 – Came back again for round 2 and it was even better than our first visit! Met the owner who was super cool. We had a large party. 5 adults and 5 kids and all of our food was awesome. The kids hung out in the back game room while we waited for our food. Thanks Dillons! Keep up the great food and great service.
FIRST REVIEW: This little spot in Morongo Valley is much needed as there aren’t a lot of dining options down there. They’ve got a pretty good menu with reasonable pricing. The staff is friendly, and the food is good. Have only been here once, but I will definitely come back just because the service was great. Also, they stock enough Jameson to serve Picklebacks to a small army. IF you’ve never had one, this is the place to go to get your first experience. They have both the Jameson stout and the IPA. High five Dillon’s. I hope you guys are here to stay.

Cheeseburger was good. Fries were better than In and Out. IPA was delicious!!! Waitress was busy but gave good service.
Revised 3/18/2024 – Had the Western Burger, fries and deep fried mushrooms. The batter on the mushrooms was good but they were over overcooked- too crunchy. The burger was just average – fries were good. Again, waitress was exemplary! Bill was $35 for average food. Want to like this place because it’s close to our house but it’s just lacking.

We were bird watching at Big Morongo Preserve and wanted to find lunch nearby without having to travel to Yucca Valley. We picked Dillon’s based on online reviews and we were so happy we did!
The exterior looks a little rough, but inside was actually almost quaint featuring many TVs, a full bar and comfortable seating. Our lunch was served quickly and it was very tasty, as well as affordable.
When traveling on the 62 in the high desert, give Dillon’s Burgers and Beer a try!
