Always an amazing experience. The staff is so wonderful and the food delicious. We seem to always order what we’ve enjoyed in the past, even though there are so many options. Best appetizers are the Chef’s Special (sushi) & the Crab Ragoon. Entrees we love are their Shrimp Fried Rice and their Sweet & Sour Chicken.

The chef here makes Snoop Dogg look like he can’t roll. I never review restaurants, but the sushi man at this place is the best in 100 miles of here. He can hang with the best. The sushi lunch special with miso soup is incredible for $15 given the quality. Around here, oversized rolls that become mush in your mouth as you try to chew them down, and misproportioned ones with the ingredient ratio all out of wack are the standard. Nobody knows a sushi roll from a hole in the ground. If you’re tired of the mountain of bunk sushi in the Tri Cities, give this dude a chance. You won’t be disappointed. He’s actually a master, not just some dude they trained for a few days. He’s been there 6 days a week all year since I was a kid, and he’s one of the best there is.

This place is 5 stars plus more. Food is exceptionally great – consistent every time with flavors that are balanced and well rounded. Our group ordered several different dishes from entrees to appetizers to sushi rolls. The atmosphere is just as nice and the prices are reasonable and affordable when comparing to similar places in the area of the same caliber. (don’t let the front and location of this place shy you away) – it will be well worth it. last we made reservations by calling because this place is not on open table or Google reservations.

This was one of our two “go to” restaurants when I visit Johnson City and have lunch with my mother weekly.
We started going to the other restaurant much more frequently, however, because this restaurant always feels dark inside. And with spring and summer coming up, it would be nice to have a little better lighting! I imagine it would be totally fine for dinner, but for lunch, sometimes it’s so dark inside that it feels a little odd in the middle of the day.
That said, the food is solid. I enjoy the fact they have sushi and other items for me, while still having standard fried-rice-type dishes with the creamy sauce for my mother.

Very good! Don’t let the outside fool you! The decor and atmosphere inside is very nice and cozy. The hot and sour soup was very tasty, almost with a bit of a sweet flavor. The sushi was delicious. The Spicy Thai Basil Chicken was very well prepared and flavorful, though it was not very spicy at all.

Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant! If you haven’t tried it, you need to put it on your list.

There is another review that says the food tastes like sams club microwave meals and that is the most accurate review of this restaurant. This food is NOT worth the prices they charge. We got 3 meals and an appetizer. Our bill was $90 not including tip. One of those meals should have been a child’s plate but we were charged different. The worst part was we couldn’t eat it. It was terrible. So we asked for the ticket paid the bill and left. The waitress saw we didn’t eat and never even asked what was wrong or anything. Well, she did ask if we wanted a box haha…So we basically threw $100 down the drain.

Wonderful lunch experience. Our server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere, low lighting and bold colors. The soft jazz music is a good choice. It was nice to hold a conversation without the normal yelling over loud music you get in most chain restaurants. We ordered sushi, a tuna tataki salad, and the vegetable stir fry. Everything looked great and tasted fresh and flavorful. You could certainly bring children here, but I find it better suited for couples or small adult groups. They close between 2 and 5 and also do take out service. There is a bar to order from or sit at to enjoy your drink or wait on take out. We will return for lunch service again.

It was the luckiest day that I happened upon this place. Not just for dinner, but also on a day which their culinary magician decided to make homemade macarons, they were absolutely divine, meticulously crafted. My dinner was delicious.Truly impeccable service. I hope my travels bring me near this restaurant again soon!

So unassuming from the outside, but don’t pass on this hidden gem! Beautifully decorated interior, full bar and fresh sushi. It’s lively, but not noisy, and seemed to have a contingent of loyal locals. The menu is admittedly a bit eclectic, but that just means whether you’re in the mood for Chinese, Japanese, or Thai food, there’s some delicious in store.
