I haven’t been to @bagelboss since before covid. I decided to treat everyone to bagels. They are sooo good! I ordered a dozen. They had plenty of pumpernickel, multigrain everything and rye bagels which are my favorites. The nice man cut them for me, too! They have some of the best bagels on Long Island!
They also have a nice dining area to enjoy breakfast. They offer a lot of options, party platters and prepared foods if you are on the go. Plenty of parking depending upon the time of day you go.

Delicious bagel and veggie omelettes with friendly staff. The “bold” guy with the arm sleeve tattoos is very nice and friendly.

This was my 1st time stopping at Bagel Boss in merrick since I was hungry and 5 guys was closed. I ordered a Bacon Egg and Cheese sandwich and it was the worst sandwich I’ve ever gotten, I don’t know what they put in the sandwich but it was not bacon, it was a cardboard, weird smell looking thing that not even my dog wanted to eat, my dogs bacon treats smell tastier than whatever they put in the sandwich, the egg and cheese was part was flavorless (I asked for salt & ketchup and it had non) & there was barely any cheese, I had to throw it away and went to my favorite Deli & bought a sandwich there, McDonalds serves better breakfast sandwiches. I never thought someone could mess up something as simple as a BEC. I Will not waste my time nor money coming back here.

The line at this store can sometimes be very long, and the food is on the pricey side. However, the customer service is very good. The bagels are great especially when they just came out of the oven and are still hot. I usually order an everything bagel. The cream cheese and lox spread is very tasty and so is the scallion cream cheese.

This location is the BEST location to get FRESH bagels. I always get tuna on a bagel and later tuna with cranberries and it was great. You will not be disappointed.

I paid $8 for a sesame bagel with cream cheese and bacon, only to discover that the bacon is “veggie”. The person helping me should have told me that it wouldn’t be real bacon. I’m 7 months pregnant and that’s all I wanted this morning.

Normally, I don’t write reviews, but I cannot stay silent about what happened today 8/21/25. My sister-in-law, a highly respected doctor in her field and a longtime patron of Bagel Boss Merrick, who is also of Puerto Rican descent, had a deeply disturbing experience with one of your staff members a older gentleman.
When she went to pay for her order, she handed over exact change (15 cents so she wouldn’t get change back). The employee responded by saying, “Oh, you have exact change good, I won’t have to call ICE and have you deported.”
Shocked, my sister-in-law asked him to repeat what he said, and the employee again made the same comment, implying he would call ICE to deport her.
This type of behavior is unacceptable especially in today’s political climate. For a staff member to use such discriminatory and threatening language toward a loyal customer is outrageous. No one should ever be made to feel unsafe or unwelcome in a place of business because of their heritage or background.
This employee should be held accountable, and I strongly urge Bagel Boss Merrick’s management to take immediate action. Customers deserve respect, not intimidation.
