The food was average, and the beer wasn’t particularly fresh, but since Snow Peak Brewery was temporarily closed, I came here instead—and it wasn’t a bad choice. I ordered the Fish & Chips and a Hamburger, both of which were decent and fairly standard in flavor.
I found this spot by searching “Bar near me” on Google Maps and decided to visit based on the reviews. Compared to other bars in the area, I’d say the facilities here seem a bit better.
Anyway – the inside of very clean and the staff is friendly they have a large assortment of craft beer and cider, along with a full bar.
I was very surprised with how good and how fresh the food was. I got a lime and coconut rice bowl with chicken. And my wife ordered tuna poké and fish tacos. My ONLY ISSUE was portion size for price. It was terrible, but for the price I would have expected a bit more chicken, the tacos weren’t small but at $12 for 2 it’s in that weird spot where you will probably still be hungry but it’s good enough to hold you over for a bit.
Overall I would still rank this place a 5 for the freshness of the food, the staff and the atmosphere. Just be sure order an appetizer.
this place was a deal breaker for us. I do want to say Austin is an amazing server, in this review regarding to bad service has nothing to do with him i have always been satisfied with his service. Our last and final visit was last Saturday. There were three girls working in the back bar area. As they made eye contact as we walked in, it still took almost
five minutes to be acknowledged. They were not busy, they were back there giggling and wiping down stuff. We ordered our drinks and finally got our food ordered and decided we were going to go in the poker room to play the machines while our food cooked. At that time I told the bartender where we would be, and if they could let us know when our food comes. Of course she said yes. We come back to the table and our table is cleared of our drinks, silverware napkins. We got our food, i ordered the prime rib dip as I have several times and it has been good in the past. However, this meal the meat was so dried out looking and tasting. It should have never been served to a customer presentation is everything and it was lacking. Also, the bread that it was on was dried out. This was the most disappointing meal and when i’m paying $20 and receive a sandwich that I feel was not even worth $2 makes me not want to come back. I am so disappointed because I really loved this place. I see a lot of reviews on here speaking of how this place is going downhill. To the owner/ manager, if you care about your customers, you really need to address these issues. The last thing I’d like to say about a couple of visits back and has consistently continued even after i have said something. I enjoy live music but when it’s so overly loud, you cannot have a conversation with your spouse and have to ask the server to keep repeating what she’s saying, because you can’t hear, that is not an atmosphere that most people dont want to be in while having dinner. They want to hear the music but not so loud to where you cannot communicate with other people. It’s not like this is a bar / tavern setting it’s a dinner and have a drink with dinner establishment. I mentioned it to the server and she said, I’ll see what I can do and not once, did she go up to the musician and ask them maybe to turn down there amps a little bit. To me, that’s just not caring about customers. I’m sure i’m not the only one that feels this way, i’m just maybe one of the few that has said something. I have been a bartender/ server for 35+ years of my life and I would never blow off customers the way I have been at this place. I’m very sad to have to leave this review. I just want this place to be back to what it was an inviting an enjoyable atmosphere like it was when we first discovered North third.
