Reviews
The standout, however, was the excellent service provided by a male server. His attentiveness and professionalism added to the overall positive atmosphere. The restaurant was impeccably clean, creating a welcoming environment.
I highly recommend Pho One for anyone seeking a fantastic dining experience in Kapolei!
Folks, you’re better off eating at many other Vietnamese places around Kapolei that serve fresher food for more fair prices for the portions and quality (food and service) they give you.
Food
Manapua – Luke warm, average taste, overpriced for $7. Appears not made in house for the price.
Large Special Combination Pho – Normal. Not worth $20. The meat portions are also super stingy. I mean, half a beef ball in an expensive soup…come on! Also, the tiny lemon piece you gave me for the soup screams you’re penny pinching.. even for the piece in the water! But, I suppose I should’ve guessed that, considering you couldn’t even have new menus done when you changed your prices, but still trying to give off a hip vibe…
Service – Rushed. Between sitting and bringing me water, only a minute passed. Two minutes after that, and you’re already asking me what my order is. Not good. I didn’t even have time to get situated with the menu. Then, in the end, you don’t even tell me I need to bring myself to the front to pay until I interrupt you, asking for it, as you’re serving someone else; tell me that before I sit around, waiting for a check that was never going to come on its own!
Atmosphere – Feels like a party with your Vietnamese party music playing on the TV. I came in at 5:50 PM and I already feel like I’m partying by myself in this big restaurant. I hope others eat here and I’m not the sucker….
This was our first time ordering from here, so I am not 100% sure if we were actually missing stuff for our order, or how their broth tastes.
But… If we were missing the veggies that go into the pho that they usually give you when you eat in, I was very disappointed that we didn’t get any.
On top of the missing ingredients that make pho what it is, the broth had no flavor. Isn’t pho known for its broth?
Also ordered two orders of summer rolls and we never got any kind of dipping sauce for it. Which was also very disappointing.
The cold noodle dish with bbq pork, shredded pork, and spring rolls and shaking beef we very good though.
The spring rolls as an appetizer were very good.
It’s hard to rate this, I’d probably give it a 3.5 because of how good some of the food was, and the price was a lot better than the other place we usually go to.
But, if the price is less because the pho isn’t as great, then this would have a 1 star. You order from a pho place because you’re expecting good pho.
Overall a mixed review. The delivery came through very good, the packaging was good, nothing really spilled.
Also, missing utensils, napkins, and sirracha sauce(not sure how this works these days, but I didn’t see an option to request these things on the side).
Vietnamese restaurant I have ever
visited.
An unbelievable cooking time: within five minutes
Very crispy fried rice and unoily pho
1- sorting rolls is good and not oily. It comes with lettuce, noodles & sauce
2- soup base is good even though you don’t b like putting anything in it, but there are the typical hot chili, hit chili oil, sriracha, hoisin and if you want… fish sauce. The pho as usual has the veggies… sprouts, basil, jalapeño, lemon
They serve food with fresh vegetables. I used eat pho but I ordered vermicelli crab meat this time. I expected crab flavored broth but it tastes tomato broth more. It’s good too but I expect seafood broth. Pho is delicious.
