Wow a hidden secret. First off the service was great and on point. The value of the meals were rare and fantastic. Decor was upbeat Spanish and really inviting. Loved everything and can’t wait to go back!

Ok I ve been back three times and I wish them the very best because they provide not only good food but good service fair pricing and atmosphere like I was in Madrid. Love this place especially when my wife smiles over their lobster priced fixed dinner at $ 29.95

We went in on a Saturday night. We had reservations, and we were seated right away. This was my first time hearing, and I loved it. The ambiance and service were great. The food was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.

Sangria 71 in island park has become one of our go-to spots, and every visit only gets better. From the moment you walk in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere sets the tone for a great dining experience. I’ve been here several times, and the food is always top-notch—authentic Spanish flavors, perfectly cooked dishes, and of course, their signature sangria is a must!

Tonight was extra special as we celebrated my mother-in-law’s birthday with the family, and the evening did not disappoint. A special shoutout to our waitress Andrea, who went above and beyond—attentive, friendly, and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the night. Her service truly elevated the whole experience.

Whether you’re going for a casual dinner or a celebration like we did, I highly recommend Sangria 71. It’s consistently excellent, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Looking forward to our next visit already!

I recently dined at Sangria 71, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was exceptional. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made me feel right at home. My favorite dish from Sangria 71 is definitely the seafood paella. It was perfectly cooked and loaded with fresh seafood. You could tell it was made with care and authenticity. Will definitely come back.

I recently had my 45th birthday lunch for 14 people (ages ranging from 75 down to 6 months) on a Sunday at 12PM. I’m a foodie and someone who has enjoyed many of the fine establishments as well as great food trucks. I was craving a really authentic seafood paella for my birthday and Sangria 71 in Island Park did not disappoint.

The drinks were top notch – with a specialty drink (something sunrise) being amazing and a recommendation to skip the sangria (very light and tasteless).

For appetizers – the lamb chops, shrimp pil pil and crab tower were a win for all (perfection!) but I would recommend skipping the raw bar (not fresh). The baked clams were ok.

For the entrees: I didn’t taste the other entrees but OMG the paella was outstanding! We ordered seafood Paella for 10 and went home with 5 large containers leftover. The seafood was plentiful and the additional lobsters were well worth it. We joked that we were looking for rice in the paella because there was so much expertly prepared seafood. I have to recommend getting a side of the garlic sauce for the paella if you like it really saucy. Everyone at the table also enjoyed the cognac sauce. (I would skip the green and diablo/red sauces).

Desserts: The coconut tres leche cake is amazing as was the flan, the chocolate tres leche and the lava cake. I think all of the desserts were fantastic so you can’t go wrong with any of them. And I must give a nod to the coffee – SO GOOD!

Service: The service was top notch. Bejoy was our waiter and he went above and beyond with the staff to make sure that our meals were served well, the table was kept clear, water glasses full and was quick to get anything we needed. He even gifted us with shots for my birthday celebration. I cannot rave enough about what an exceptional waiter he was – you would be lucky to have him serve your party.

Overall, I absolutely loved my experience at this restaurant and will definitely be back many times over. The portions are plentiful, the ambiance is somewhat calm and quiet with nice music and the food is very tasty. Highly recommend getting sides of sauces to try with everything.

100% recommend this hidden gem!

My aunt and I decided to have dinner here at Sangria 71. We walked in around 530 and it was not crowded. The hostess was friendly. She let us choose a table that we wanted to dine at. Not many Spanish restaurants do that. The atmosphere was nice. They have live music on Wednesday night. They offer a full bar with televisions. When we sat down they bought us menus and fresh bread with an oil dressing for dipping. I decided to order an empanada. The empanadas you only get one for the price of four dollars so I ordered three different ones to try for an entree because I knew that one wasn’t enough to fill me up for dinner. For the health conscious people out there those empanadas are baked and are NOT FRIED! The three options that I ordered were Chicken Empanadas, Chorizo Empanadas and Spinach/Cheese Empanadas. The Chicken Empanadas are tasty but they could have used some more filling in them. The Chorizo Empanadas, I wish the portion size was bigger. This one was my favorite out of the three of them that I ordered. The Spinach and Cheese Empanadas, they were good but I thought that they needed more cheese. My aunt ordered the stuffed lobster. It came with a side salad and steamed broccoli. My aunt thought that it was excellent. The stuffing in the lobster was amazing she said. She thought that this restaurant offered reasonable prices and that our server named Abdel was nice and really accommodating. I think we will be back.

Great tapas/ appetizers and food. I liked the atmosphere, especially where we were on the second floor. The peach sangria for 2 is best if you spend a little extra and get the pitcher. So yummy. Alberto was our server, and he was great. We were so full by the end that we skipped dessert, so I’ll be back for sure for some tres leches or three milk cake!

It was our first time at the restaurant. We ordered a Valencian paella. It was delicious, but the rice was not the Bomba one used for Spanish paella. The service was excellent. Abdul was a very kind person and gave us good service.
