My husband and I went here with his family to support the live music that was a family friend. This bar was unlike any that I have ever been it was so cozy feeling and not overly loud. I don’t like to have to talk over music when out with people. (Just not my vibe). They have outside seating for the nicer weather and pickle ball as well. When you go in they have their bar seating and couple of large high top tables and then couches and chairs on the side. The staff was amazing and while I just had a couple of beers my husband had some rum and cokes and he said they were by far the best that he had gotten anywhere, and my FIL was drinking one of the local craft beers that was really good as well. They have food trucks (I think nightly that are on a rotating schedule don’t quote me on this) or you can order pizza that they get from a local pizza restaurant that are flash frozen and then they cook in their pizza oven. I wish we had not stopped for dinner before hand and will definitely be trying these the next time we go. But above all else the owners are the nicest people that you will ever meet. So if you are looking for a more relaxing place to get some food and have some drinks with friends this is the place to go. Will definitely be going back. (Oh and they had a dog I have no idea what they dogs name is but it just walked around for love and slept)

This place truly embodies the name — a community pub. We love coming here almost every Thursday for trivia, and often attend the live music sets on the weekends. They serve LMNO pizza inside, and if they don’t, it’s only because they’ve got a great local food truck outside! As for drinks, there is something for everyone. Several beers on tap, a full bar, and seltzers and whatnot as well. Plus a mocktail menu and sodas. This is a place for people of all ages to hang out and enjoy each other’s company!

I was very impressed the first time I was there with a friend. We had a wonderful evening with a bartender and the owner that was very friendly and professional. But tonight 02-06-26, we landed on a bartender that definitely needed to be somewhere else but bartending . She was older and couldn’t read ID’S and on top of that making joke about ICE. This behavior should not be allowed in this moment of time…

Moxie pub is the best pub in Newton Kansas.
From the moment we arrived in Newton, we felt welcome and at home. we were especially impressed by the owner, Kimberly, who greeted her guests at each table The Tuesday night karaoke is fabulous and fun. There are actually a few people who do excellent song renditions. Another Entertaining evening is Thursday night trivia. I especially have enjoyed her Friday and Saturday night live music events. The food trucks that are available are tasty choices. And the LMNO pizza freshly cooked out of Kimberly’s pizza oven, are delivered piping hot. They offer impressive teamwork by all the staff. This is definitely the long awaited go to spot in Newton.

Wonderful environment. Inside is cozy and comfy, patio feels like the perfect summer chill spot. Great live music and so many fun nights; trivia and karaoke, games, club meetings, reunions… Food trucks, wide variety, on lots of nights, LMNO pizza available when no food trucks and it’s so good! Owner is a gem.

Restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Servers were friendly and service was good. We split the BBQ Nachos and the Club Sandwich. For some reason the sandwich came out before the nachos. My gf enjoyed the club sandwich, the bread was nice and buttery. I did not taste any kind of smokey flavor in the Turkey. We ordered potato salad and pasta salad for the sides, they were okay. The BBQ Nachos were very good and I would totally order those again. Would eat here again and recommend to others. Hopefully they have the French Dip sandwich next time around.

Wow from living in Nebraska. They is definitely a change ! The people that work here are absolutely amazing ! Always there to help or get you anything you need . Prices are about average. So that’s a huge plus in my book ! Thank you guys for a amazing place to come to on my vacation!!
