We loved our dinner and margaritas at El Rincon! Quaint space in a very walkable area in lovely Covington, KY. Food was spot on and margs were refreshing and tasty. We especially loved the combo fajitas. Salsa was quite yummy, too.

Wonderful little place! Waitress was very nice and speedy! Not sure if she’s the only one, or was just working solo when I went, but she was working her best and she did a wonderful job food tasted great; only complaint was my mom’s enchiladas de mole were good, but the chicken inside was kind of bland and dry. But the mole was delicious, and I sure enjoyed my steak tacos. Definitely coming here again!

What a wonderful little place! I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The outside seating is very cute and I would come back when it’s warmer to be able to sit outside. Food was hot and flavorful, perfect amount of spice. Our waitress was wonderful even though she was the only one working in the whole restaurant. Definite rockstar!!

We came across this little gem and let me tell you how surprised we were! The food was deliciously authentic and we had the best Horchata here! Definitely will be coming back and highly recommend to anyone craving Mexican food.

Overall my visit was just ok. The menu was dirty & is slightly overpriced $5.99 for a flan! ( flan wasn’t even good )& $11 just for a small margarita wow. I sat outside music was nice wish there was more light but overall cute setup.
I was really craving “street tacos” so I got those. I normally love corn tortillas but these tasted weird ( not sure how to describe but off compared to normal) the sauces weren’t flavorful.
Honestly couldn’t recommend & probably won’t be back.

So in the search for as authentic as it can get mexican available in the vicinity I came here.
The ambiance gives an old mexican bar/ restaurant vibe with paintings and decor done to its best to meet the title.
So I came here to try the tacos….ordered the birria and carnita…..it was decent portioned and tasted good but was dissapointed it lacked that punch when I saw the 2 sauce bottles….one green and one orange and that changed the whole dynamics to very good!!!
I ordered 3 birrias and 1 carnita on my other experiences of it being small sized elsewhere but here I struggled to finish 3.
The margarita was good and big and came with a side of chips and salsa….and that salsa was fresh.!!!!
The staff did a good job and service.
So in the end if I feel like some good real tacos in the neighbourhood I am coming here.

Honestly, I have had better. The only good part of this restaurant is the prices, which I guess is reflective on the food. The chips did not taste fresh. The menu is not at all extensive. There is a lot of seating inside and outside. There is only street parking. Overall, I would say this restaurant serves mediocre Mexican food.

Food was great. My lovely bride had ceviche and she says it was as good as what she had in Belieze. I had the red hot stone bowl with chicken. Steak and shrimp. It was really good. Service was swift polite and accurate. If you want food in a minute go to McDonald’s. You want great food, service and location come here and be happy.

We have never been to this spot before and decided to give it a try last minute as we were walking. It is definitely worth it. The food was amazing and the service made us feel at home! It was a little pricey, but we had a great experience. We were assuming it was driven up from being located in Mainstrasse Village. Its worth trying, though!
