The food was delicious, but that was the only thing that was outstanding.
The service lacked; they took our order and dropped the food off. There were three staff that we saw in the dining room and not one of them checked to see how we were doing. I had to flag someone down to get a refill on my coffee as I was finishing my meal so I ate my food with nothing to drink. We could not understand why the service was so bad and then we figured it out when we received our check.
They added 20% gratuity to the bill! Waitstaff aren’t going to put any effort in if they know that they are going to get a 20% tip no matter what they do. 15% is the standard rate to start off from IF the service is decent. We always tip well when the service is good. The service here was awful and we won’t be back!!!
It is too bad because we like staying at the Bostonian Hotel. We will go somewhere else to eat next time.

Had both breakfast and dinner food no issues! But to serve warm can sodas and a glass of ice is tacky(the place is not a hotdog stand). To add 20% gratuity on bill for table under 5 people is a joke.its the hotel restaurant and could not bill to room as well. I always tip 20/30% for service and don’t blame servers for what they have to deal with behind the scenes. 18% is base tip across the board so if your adding 20% to bill and still asking for additional tip on top, I guarantee the servers are getting short changed. 6.40 a warm can of soda is tacky and refills should be free like every other restaurant.

So disappointed in this place. My husband and I stayed overnight for a quick getaway after a bunch of appointments at BCH. We were excited to enjoy a couple of cocktails at the bar but the service and quality was extremely lacking. His scotch was barely filled half way and my lemon drop martini had no sugar rim and no lemon slices and neither was offered. The bartender served my drink first and then 20 minutes went by before he poured my husband’s drink. $46 for TWO drinks! They added a 20% tip too which was very sneaky. The staff should let people know. My husband and I are very generous even when we shouldn’t be and almost left an additional cash tip! Honestly, I want to ask for a partial refund or a gift card. The restaurant and the staff need to be upgraded. If you’re going to charge almost $50 for two cocktails, then they should be superb and so should the service!

Is the menu exciting? Absolutely not. Is it overpriced? Hell yes.

However we had three items. And they were all fantastic. Chicken skewers $15 for two large skewers of juicy chicken marinated in a lemon sauce.

A cup of clam chowder that was fantastic and an espresso martini that was on point.

A lot of the reviews are concerning but we went on a busy Saturday night and got a quick bite in and out no problem.

Convenience of location is the only reason I picked this restaurant for a business lunch. The teriyaki shrimp on skewers that I ordered tasted like it was thrice reheated from refrozen shrimp. The space is tight, so don’t expect conversational privacy. Fortunately, that probably won’t be an issue as this place likely won’t be crowded any time of day.

Spent almost $100 for 2 people and a baby on breakfast. Our service was good but the quality of the food is no better than a high-school lunch. Coffee was terrible. Very disappointing for the money. We will not return.

Went in two times: late dinner and breakfast. Great experience both times.
Our server during dinner was great! Took great care of us. It was a busy loud Saturday night. Calamari was delicious whereas the chicken sandwich was a bit dry.
During breakfast, the restaurant was quiet and calm. I had chocolate chip pancakes with a side of home fries and eggs. Super tasty!
Overall, I had a great experience with very tasty food. Would go back next time I am visiting Boston!

First- automatic 20% tip no matter what you order (including to-go). Food is pretty simple so nothing bad to say at all, but nothing absolutely amazing to rave about. The space is really nice and a good layout. I will say that (after staying here for a week and going a few times), service is very hit and miss. There was a young lady who was very inattentive and it took me over 20 minutes sitting there to get her attention for a drink, and then she promptly disappears. I didnt get a second drink after because I wasnt sure how long it would have taken.
The auto 20% gratuity added to the bill when playing by card, which probably contributed to her attitude. But on another occasion, there was an older guy there who was absolutely amazing. Dollar wings and Oysters are also available.

Well I got absolutely fleeced. Menu outside said ~$18 for 2 eggs, sausage, hash browns breakfast. Inside the menu says $23. Eggs were over-well, not over easy. Sausages were mediocre. Hash browns were dry and flavourless. Coffee weak and burnt. Made worse by the Soulja boy playing loudly in the background. Then the temerity to charge automatic 20% gratuity. So $35 for an awful meal. Will not eat here again. Also smelled a little bit like sewage…
