Stopped by to get some bánh mì for the road back to OC. We thought OC prices were going expensive but nope, SJ beats us for sure. Nice clean, small store that share with the coffee shop and they have the special deal coffee & bánh mì for $13. We got that with BA CHỈ Roasted Pork Belly & VNese hot milk café or cà phê sữa nóng. The sandwich is thick filled with a lot of veggies, just couple slices of meat. The bread is good when it hot but if you leave it within 10mins with cold weather it just hard and chewy (just needs to reheat if you are at home or have oven to heat it up for coupe mins). Well combined and tasty, just wish they would added a little bit more of pâté since it was little. Service was good – you do self order but unfortunately, their machine is not working and the couple infront of us had hard time for 5-7mins before realized that it didn’t work. The staff behind the counter came over and helped since the line if 3 became 6 and the entrance door opens with cold cold air. Service is nice and friendly, the turnaround took around 7-10mins since I only see 2 fronts staffs and 1 or 2 in back. The place had small seating area in the corner looking through the Main Street or the other side w/ the coffee shop overlooking the parking. Overall, it was okey bánh mì and good service in a cute store.

The bánh mì is good. Lots of cilantro in it. I’m not a cilantro person. But that’s just personal preference… I remove some of it, it’s perfect. I like this place. Wish the drink was less sweet. Also had a cilantro taste at the end for some reason, didn’t like that
Pork banh mi: 9.5/10
Winter melon oolong: 7/10

I think it comes down to taste preference and what you’re used to. I got the grilled pork bahn mi, which I get everywhere. They make it different here. Their marinade is more sweet than what I’m used to and the texture was soft, like it was tenderized. The bread was great (but not better bread than other sandwich shops), and the veggie fillings pretty good. Little sweet. Little spicy.
Service was ok; they were relatively fast considering how busy they are. Kiosk ordering was too slow. The restaurant itself is clean and kind of semi modern. Places to sit to eat, as well as sit to wait. I notice they also have those green waffles which I think I’ll try next time; wasn’t that hungry this time.

The sandwiches here really are great, but the customer service is atrocious. We ordered 40 sandwiches from them, the quality and consistency was not there. We come almost every week for their sandwiches, but if you order in bulk or catering, beware and go somewhere else. The quality is not the same, this small shop cannot handle large orders, some sandwiches remain consistent with their standards but most were under par or substandard. They skimp on ingredients, especially the meat, there were definitely less meat in most of our order, the grilled pork and pork belly orders barely had 4 small pieces in each sandwich, my guests all complained and showed us their sandwiches to verify. The first time we called to request for a manager to complain, they hung up on us, after repeated calls the manager finally answered, she stated she will investigate the incident and notify her staff. The shop is great for small lunch orders but don’t ever place large orders here, you will get minimal ingredients for the same price.

Probably the best vietnamese sandwich. I had the egg coffee for the first time. Delicious. I enjoyed the atmosphere. Recommend!

This sandwich shop is located on the busy street of Capitol expressway of San Jose.
First time trying out this Vietnamese sandwich shop, this place is amazingly unbelievable!!
Ordered roasted pork sandwiches with black tea! The sandwich is made fresh upon order. The bread is baked with roasted pork, also comes with fresh sliced radish, sliced carrots and cilantros.
You can ask for sugar level for your drink. Overall, everything tasted delicious and I will not hesitate to come back again!

Got sandwich #1. It was tasty, I’d get it again. I wanted to compare “grilled beef” versus “grilled chicken”, unfortunately, there wasn’t a grilled chicken option on the menu. Maybe I’ll submit an RFE and see if they will humor me next time.
Did you know there’s two options for your sandwich? This was totally new to me. If you plan on eating it soon, they will assemble it with all the veggies stuffed into the sandwich. If you plan on eating the sandwich later, they will put the veggies into a plastic bag to keep the bread from getting mushy. Then once you get home you can assemble the sandwich and enjoy.
My coworkers tell me its best to pop it into the toaster over to help crisp up the bread a little if there had been a delay between getting the sandwich and eating it.

The addition of Trung Nguyên Legend coffee is a glow up for the store. Although it does not pop up on Google maps and should probably be done so if more coffee sales are desired. New seating and very good viet coffee, but a lil pricey. Sandwiches are good as always.
One star off as floors are always dirty here.
Keep the floor clean of food debris should be a priority here to maintain the vibe.
