Exceptional Service and Great Food at Barrel 135
We recently hosted our rehearsal dinner at Barrel 135, and we could not have been happier with the experience. Planning for a group of 30 people on a tight budget isn’t easy, but the team at Barrel 135 went above and beyond to make it all work — even including tax and tip in the final cost.
The restaurant is known for its martinis, and they absolutely lived up to their reputation. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how creative and well-balanced the drinks were. The bartenders were phenomenal — not only keeping up with our large party but also smoothly tending to other guests at the same time.
For dinner, we chose a menu featuring Chicken Marsala, Rigatoni Ragu, and Shrimp & Asparagus Risotto, and every dish was delicious. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and perfectly prepared. Several guests have gluten sensitivities, and Barrel 135 handled those accommodations with real care — offering separate gluten-free dressings and menu adjustments without hesitation.
From start to finish, the service was friendly, attentive, and professional. It’s clear the staff truly care about their guests. We left feeling completely taken care of and so grateful for how smoothly everything went.

This place is an absolute gem. I’ve eaten at this place, cooked here, and have become friends with these people and everything is great. Josh does an awesome job with flavor pairings and brings vibrant and different ideas to Williamsport. Kelli is an absolute wizard with the drinks. The way they’re crafted is unique and you can tell that both of them take pride in what they’re serving. Do yourself a FLAVOR and make a reservation. You won’t be disappointed.

I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often! We stopped in for a girls brunch and had delicious handcrafted drinks by Kelli. She was very attentive and made us feel at home. The food was also amazing.

We showed up 30 minutes early for our reservation. We let the young man that greeted us know we were early. He then went up to a female (Kelly)and told her we were there for out 6:30 reservation and she loudly and rudely said she wasn’t rearranging the reservations for the evening for us because we were early. We never asked to be seated early. We then sat at the bar and had a couple martinis while waiting for our reservation. We were out on a date night we didn’t allow her uncalled for behavior to ruin our evening. Rick made our martinis, here was very knowledgeable and professional. When he told us he was going to be our server it was a sign of relief. We thought we were going to get the kids obnoxious server. The tuna sushi and French onion soup were outstanding. We split the tomahawk steak and it was fabulous. Everything was seasoned well from the steak tonthe garlic green beans to the mashed potatoes. We will definitely be back. Kelly is very loud and obnoxious, someone you’d expect at alive bar not a restaurant where you are spending over $100 a couple.

The staff is friendly.
It might look “upscale” or trendy but it doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The food is just really good.
I’ll be thinking of that pimento cheese for quite some time.

Visiting our daughter at college and a Google Maps search for food landed us at Barrel 135. The reviews sold us and after stepping inside, we were not disappointed!
The cocktail menu had a lot of great options, we tried 4 or 5 and were impressed with each one for different reasons.
Food was not what I expected walking in, but was right up our alley for something different. The short rib ramen was great, nice big chunks of meat, a good kick in the broth, and was something that I wouldn’t typically land on at a first-time visit… but glad I did. The poke bowl and seared tuna were also great options and tasted great.
Desserts were out of this world, we literally each got our own because we couldn’t decide on one to share. Again, zero disappointment in that decision and would do it again.
Our server was fun and energetic, made us feel like we had been friends for years, and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. We will most certainly take this stop again when we’re back in the area.

The service here is always AMAZING the gal that waits on me every time is so super friendly that the person I was with thought I knew her! I’m vegan, and she always accommodates which is greatly appreciated! They really are passionate about what they have going on here. Love that.

We travel to Williamsport from Maryland multiple times during the spring and eat at Barrel 135 almost every time we’re here. The food is amazing, the ramen is some of the best I’ve ever had! **chefs kiss** We love that the menu updates with seasons and everything we’ve had has been delicious, including the drinks!!!
As for the service and atmosphere, we often ascend upon this restaurant with a boisterous bunch of folks and the co-owner who waits on us takes it all in stride. Giving back as much banter as we dish out. She deserves way more than 5 stars. We just love it here.

Food was awesome, and the waitress was friendly and the food came out fast! Can’t ask for much more! I absolutely recommend coming here. Even if you can only get in for brunch.
