Our group of five went here to pick up a pizza for dinner based upon a good local reputation. The reputation is well founded! Our group ordered a cheese pizza and a pepperoni pizza and both were very good. The crust was excellent; it had a slightly charred aroma and was somewhat crispy. The focus is on offering three basic types of pizzas and applying top notch ingredients. You can order a cheese, pepperoni, or one of the weekly specials. The price is on the higher end of the normal range but well worth the money. The owner cooks the pizzas himself and it’s clear that he takes pride in the quality of his pizza. It’s clear that he would rather make a high-quality pizza than make a fancy pizza. He wants you to taste the quality of those ingredients without covering them up with lots of ingredients. The restaurant is very small with no tables. There’s a single wall with a small standup counter available to eat off of. Almost all of his sales are carry out. The next time I want pizza and I am in the area, this is the place I will go to.

The real deal. True apizza style. The perfect crisp crust, fabulous cheese, GREAT sauce. When I went there were three choices: cheese, pepperoni and white. Had the pepperoni and loved it. Will be back.as I have to try the white pie. Whole pies only, no slices (doesnt matter.you’ll eat the whole pie), nothing else on menu. Pure pizza in the truest sense. Special place.

Hands down best pizza in West Chester, fresh quality ingredients, made right in front of your face. Not only served with a smile but a friendly conversation. The staff gives a damn not only about the food served but also the waste they produce. Overall a great pie served by amazing people

We are from Lancaster and always looking for the perfect pie. Not only did we find the perfect pie but we found the pizza master. That’s all he does makes delicious pizza. You get cheese or pepperoni that’s all. Nothing else needed. No place to sit and eat. We ate our in a McDonalds parking place. We will be back , the 1 and 1/2 hour drive well worth it. Your so lucky if you live near by.

This was our first time trying Pizza West Chester and we will definitely be back. The shop is nice and the two gents behind the counter are charismatic and efficient.

Most importantly, the pizza is delicious.

It’s basic – no crazy toppings or signature combos, just “plain cheese,” “pepperoni,” or “white.” When a pizza can stand on its own merits, excess toppings become a distraction instead of an enhancement.

We ordered a pepperoni pie, and I’m not gonna lie. We had planned to bring it to our friends’ house for lunch, but the looks and aroma of our box’ contents were overwhelmingly enticing, so we risked burning the roofs of our mouths and stole a slice each before we started the car.

I’m not ashamed to admit, I wish we had eaten two slices before driving off. It’s that good.

If you like a crisp (but not burned or hard) crust, and sweet, delicious flavor, gives this joint’s pizza a shot. The Delaware Valley is overrun with pizza shops, but not many as authentic as this.

FYI, someone in the reviews noted this is a cash-only shop. That is no longer the case, but there is a slight surcharge for using a card.

Incredible pizza, closest you’ll get to real deal NYC pizza around here. If you are into pizza this is a must try; crispy thin crust, fresh cheese, & fantastic sauce!

Best damn pizza I’ve ever had, me and my buddy and co worker are extremely high maintenance when judging food! Ate it right on the brick side walk like Portnoy I think that’s where it’s meant to be eaten ….next to the little UP house tattoo shop. Almost got a PIZZA tat…..owner is smart cool and less is more, absolutely great! Amazing …we got the pepperoni! 9.4

Dayton , OH… 9+hr drive
We fly in now yearly for over a decade but this was our first time here.

Did not disappoint at all!

NO FLOP! Are you looking for a top rated pizza shop in West Chester? Look no further than Pizza West Chester. Full pies only. This is not a slice shop. However, you will want a full pie of this deliciousness . Watching the pizza being made, you can tell before you get to try it that you are in for a real treat. I give it an 8.6! I live about an hour away, and it’s worth the drive. If you’re in the area and looking for pizza, it’s a no-brainer.

The best pie in the area however some nuances: cash only, one-size, made to order, no call ahead/delivery. Often a 2-pie limit. They *DO* sell out on Fridays and Saturdays. Yes, there’s usually a line of people, even at opening. For good reason! The crust is buttery and charred to perfection. There are multiple cheeses on every pie with freshly grated Parmesan to finish. Excellent oil ratio with the pepperoni. Get this pie you won’t regret it.

Reminds me a lot of Joe Beddia’s original pizza, before he moved to a big sit down spot and started making pizza on a screen(gross)…Feels like he even stole the whole simple idea of just calling it Pizza with the Beddia-esk sign out front. Wouldn’t be shocked if I found out they use the same finishing cheese, Old Gold. The bottom of my slices were charred bc the oven was not brushed clean, which throws off the taste. The slices are stretched improperly which leaves for parts of the slice thick and other parts thin, so they could really improve by taking a little more care with their stretching. Over all it’s super delicious, as you would expect looking and feeling like a Beddia knockoff….. They do a hard bake so if you dont love that burnt toast type of taste and crunch experience with pizza, then Lorenzo’s is probably a better spot for you. Tons of pizza in the area and I would put this top 3. Take out only, Cash only. If you miss Joe Beddia’s original pizza come here.
