My pizza was burnt. It’s all I taste is burntness. I guess it’s what I get for ordering well done. I don’t even taste garlic crust. Not enjoyable to eat a burned pizza. Back in New Orleans where I live I order up to $80 worth of pizzas and have never gotten a burnt one. Even my dessert is burned. Now I’m upset

I went to Papa John’s to pick up an order made via the online ordering tool 11/6/20 at 6:32PM. The order had a normal wait time for a Friday night (27-34 minutes). I went into the store after the tracker said that the order was ready for pick up and was surprised to say the least. There were about 12 customers in the lobby waiting for completed orders. Papa John’s has a contactless delivery feature where once you sign for your order they’ll bring it to you outside and this wasn’t happening. They had me sign my receipt then went to get my order and said it’d take 10-15 minutes to finish. They told every other person in the lobby the same. The manager asked everyone to go outside for social distancing and states they’d bring orders out to people.
They didn’t do this though. The only way they’d give an order was if you asked the front desk workers to recheck. Eventually when the lobby cleared out I went back inside. They gave me my order at 7:11PM (which had been on the ready rack from when I signed the receipt at the register). It took 39 minutes to get what was ready when I got there.
I’ve been to a few Papa John’s and never have had an experience like that. It could be working the kinks out since everyone is just getting their feet on the ground from the storms, but I’d avoid the wait and lack of social distancing precautions for now if you’re wanting pizza during busy hours.
The food itself from the order was fine. The breadsticks they kind of dumped the garlic butter sauce into the box and it wasn’t on the breadsticks. It could be that it just sat so long it ran off though.

Went for a pick-up without a coupon or the app for discounts. (Spur of the moment). The price was nearly outrageous but the pizza was certainly good. The employees where super friendly as well.

Ordered pizza took almost 2 hours, cold and the whole bottom is burnt, tried to eat it and was nasty, felt I was eating old chewed up gum just gross. I love papa John’s, they did refund my money but super disappointed
