Family went down for Houby Days at Czech village and ended evening at CJs bar and grill. It is some serious comfort food at a great price! Between us all ordered: hamburger and maid rite, chicken fried steak, fried chicken and a bean tostada. Sides included coleslaw, potato salad and mashed potatoes and gravy. Only complaint would be mashed potatoes and gravy were luke warm, but still tasted good. The margaritas were also strong and very tasty. The place was packed and saw lots of burritos, Nachos and margaritas on most tables. I just ate my left over chicken leg out of fridge and it was still crunchy and tasted great.

It was totally amazing. The bartender was amazing . The atmosphere is awesome. I had a conversation with two awesome peoples there. Hope to see them again there. The lady was a bartender there which brought me a beer. I owe you one.

I would give them a five-star if they would actually provide enough salsa. They already don’t give you enough salsa and then when you ask for extra that still isn’t enough. Very small containers compared to the queso. That’s really my only complaint otherwise they’re usually really really nice and a good place to chill.

My first time there. My brother and cousin along with my friend were there with a few other patrons.
It was an early lunch. The Bartender was friendly. My brother and cousin were regulars.
The food was great and the Bartender was making sure we were well taken care of.

My husband and I were staying in a cabin outside of Bryson city and wanted to go out for lunch, we were traveling from out of state so had our puppy with us. Loved that this patio accepted dogs! The waitress we had was super sweet and the food was very good and affordable. We decided to come back the next day as well and the service was just as great! Would definitely come back here again!

Customer service was top-notch. The food was good. There is mostly bar type food, but more options. My group of people ordered breaded cauliflower, broccoli cheese bites, which were amazing. We also had Philly cheese steak sandwiches, cheeseburger, tenderloins, and Italian beef sandwich. I had a combination meal with a burrito, enchilada, and a taco. All things were done well and tasted good. The prices were the best I have ever seen. You can literally eat here cheaper than a fast food joint. I recommend going prior to 8 pm for food. After about 10 pm, there is a rougher crowd that comes in. During the day and early evening, great place to hang out, have a bite to eat, and have a drink. The waitress/ bartender/do it all lady is amazing. She is really sweet, friendly, and very efficient at her job. Thank you so much.

Ordered some fried food and a chimi. The bar wasn’t busy at all and after 40 minutes, the cook comes out and asked what I ordered. Once she figured it out, I was brought out a chimi with cheese sauce on it. I asked for everything to be on the side. The Chicken chimi was soggy and filled with mushy crap with nothing resembling chicken in it. Then I was overcharged for the Margarita. Overall, a very disappointing visit.

Small local bar. It was busy when we were there. It seems to be very popular with the local crowd. They serve a very working class group of people. The service was pleasant. They serve a variety of dishes including Mexican and American. I particularly enjoy the fish and chips and grilled cheese.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience food wise. The waiting staff were awesome and friendly. The food (Hot Beef & Mexican combo) was not to good. We saw the kitchen staff handle our food without gloves and saw the kitchen staff wipe her hands on her face then continue to handle our food. The enchiladas seem pre-made and then microwaved which made them somewhat soggy. The meat was also bland and did not tast the greatest. You want cheap drinks, this is the place. You want good food, I would be careful.

This place is a nice local dive that you wouldn’t know about unless someone took you there. Food is good but has great low prices. Drinks are cheapest place I know of in town. Their regular prices are below most places happy hour prices. Service was definitely good and quick.
This is where my friends all go for a cheap meal and drinks without any fear of getting sick afterwards. As it’s out of the was no one you know is likely to see you there. It’s the kind of place hope others won’t learn about because you don’t want it to change.
