We ate here because we were passing through town and it was open on New Year’s Day. We loved it! We got a pot of tea, cashew shrimp, and beef lo mein. The shrimp and veggies were both cooked perfectly. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. Would definitely eat here again if the chance arises.

The bathroom was horrible and the hostess seemed like she would rather be somewhere else. She kept using her phone rather than pay attention to customers.

$10.50 lunch special gets you a baby egg roll, soup, one cream cheese won ton, fried rice, and an entree. Great value, excellent service, high quality/flavor. I can’t find fault here.

Ordered takeout. Was extremely disappointed with the orange chicken. The container full of breaded crumbs and with only 6 good chunks of chicken meat. The sides were in small boxes. And rice was very bland.

I visit this restaurant often. When you want a good Asian meal at an affordable price, this is the place for you. The service is always great and the food is remarkable. I highly recommend this location for lunch. Like most Evanston Wy restaurants it should not be judged on its outside appearance. Next time you are in town continue on past fast food row near I-80 on Front Street into the historic portion of town and enjoy a good quality sit down meal at an affordable price.

Really enjoyed our lunch at wonderful inn. First off, it was a great value with large plates for the price paid. For starters we had dumplings and potstickers. Both were good. Everyone liked the hot and sour soup and thought it was better than we have had at other Chinese restaurants. We tried three lo mein dishes – pork, beef, and shrimp. The lo mein noodles were well seasoned. All of the proteins were good and I thought the pork was the best. Fried rice was tasty too. Last we had some Szechuan beef which was also good. Service was good and friendly. We will definitely eat here again.

Driving through Evanston, and we really wanted white rice. We found Wonderful Inn on Google Maps, and it did not disappoint! The food is delicious. It’s not salty. It reminds us of home in the SF Bay Area, where there is some terrific Chinese food.
We got the curry chicken, beef with mixed vegetables, veggie lo mein, and steamed dumplings. The dumplings came with a magical dipping sauce that makes me want to try to copycat it at home.
If you’re driving through Evanston and are hungry, don’t get fast food. Swing by Wonderful Inn for a terrific meal.
Added bonus, we ordered to go and ate across the street in the depot courtyard on one of the many picnic tables.
