We were the last customer very close to closing and the lady was so sweet and took our order anyway, I’m from Houston, and this was honestly one of my top 5 burgers I’ve ever had and the fries were also perfect !❤️ For sure will be my burger spot

First time visiting and must say everything was delicious. I had the shrimp basket with swamp fries along with crawfish tails for an appetizer. Great customer service and family friendly environment. Definitely will be frequenting more often living a few miles away.

Food was very good. Taste just like cajun food you won’t be disappointed when you go. Had Gumbo and shrimp tacos so good!! Wife had barbecued shrimp they were so delicious also. Will return thanks for the great meal

Great food and atmosphere. Service was a little lacking. The nice lady who took our order forgot our crawfish and led to nearly a 45 minute wait. The crawfish was over cooked. Other than that, everything else was FANTASTIC (especially the gator bites, hush puppies, and grilled shrimp) Could easily be 5 stars with some work on service.

This was my first time with The Roux. I probably would have given 4 1/2 stars but since it could be only 4 or 5, I chose 5 for overall quality of food and service. When I called in the order, I talked to (Matt, I think) who was very nice and very helpful. I told him I needed food for a dinner for 6 people, and we discussed choices. I ordered the New Orleans Sampler (jambalaya, etouffee, red beans & rice) as well as the Gumbo – enough for 6 people. The amounts he recommended worked out well. I wish, because I was serving this as a dinner, that the rice would have been separate from, particularly, the gumbo and the jambalaya. But everything was in small containers for individual servings with the rice added in. I had to empty the small containers into larger serving bowls with rice already mixed in. I had not thought to request the rice be separate, so it may have been my own doing! The food was excellent- except for the red beans and rice, which had an odd sharpness or tang. Someone said they got a vinegar like taste from the beans. So not much of that was eaten. But everything else was VERY good and we all said we would like to order again from The Roux. So overall, (other than the red beans) I was very pleased.

So, I will start by saying the food had a really nice flavor. I got the crab legs and he got crawfish, but I’m only giving two stars because the cashier flat out lied about being out of “all” shrimp when I asked for the 1/2 and 1/2. I asked if that meant even fried shrimp specifically and her reply was “yup all shrimp”. Sigh, I was a little bummed but the show must gone on (UNTIL) a couple came in about 30 min after us and got shrimp tacos?!?! They were even served right next to us Not sure why they would feel the need to lie, but to each their own. Also, my potato and corn were as cold as if they came out of the fridge (husbands was not), so I guess they forgot to heat them up? It’s a 50/50 if we’ll be back sadly.

We’ve ordered three times in the past few months. The previous two times I did not get cheese on my burger. I didn’t mention adding cheese because I kept calling it a cheeseburger on the phone but also called it the Greax burger…I understand those two times I was assuming saying cheeseburger was enough where as I should have said please add cheese.
Tonight I did just that and asked for hush puppies instead fries. Unfortunately I came home opened the box no cheese no hush puppies (but home fries I did not order) the total was higher than normal so I figured they def got the cheese and hush puppies (cause they cost a little extra totally fine). I checked the receipt it was all recorded correctly and they got the no pickles part so they clearly looked at the order. I guess I should have checked it thier before driving home but it was Soo loud. (Great music) Just hard to think about that in the setting.

A couple months ago I made a post and I can alot has changed and the food has approved. Shrimp, no longer have heads, gator not tough. We’ve been a few times and sometimes it’s inconsistencies with the product but we will continue to go. Mckenzie is a definite jewel, she so personable and has the best customer service. A great asset to the Roux. Look forward to more visit. Lastly, crawfish is really good

Always good food, decently priced and prepared pretty quick. If you call in an order just make sure they repeat it back to you. I’ve had a couple orders get messed up but not too bad.

Good food, poor organization! Two of us, and received our orders 45 minutes apart and the late one was incomplete. It’s important to those of us in this community that you get this right so that the restaurant survives.
